Recommendation: Reasons To Stay Alive

so as some of you may know, i'm currently battling an illness of depression in which i felt i had to drop out of university in order to fix before i could start living. as a result of this, i've spent a lot of time reading, like a lot and i'm currently reading a book called Reasons To Stay Alive by Matt Haig.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW INCREDIBLE THIS BOOK IS.

if you're someone who:

- is battling depression

- has battled depression

- knows someone who is dealing with depression

- wants to know what depression is like

READ. THIS. BOOK.

the book is a detailed story of the author's personal battle with depression, in which he talks about his behaviour, his symptoms, his thoughts and feelings and throughout the book, there are segments that comfort you, reassure you of the bright future you have waiting for you.

here's a little segment of it to give you a taste:

NOW BUY IT. DON'T BUY 5, DON'T BUY 10 BUT BUY 20 COPIES.

this book is filling me with hope with every page i read
