It was June 30th when Madonna released her most iconic and hits packed album. The album cover is one of the most recongnizable Madonna pictures shot by Herb Ritts .According to Lucy O'Brien, author of Madonna: Like an Icon, the album artwork was on-par with Andy Warhol's concept of pop art.  She felt that the image was a mixture of innocence and idealism, while incorporating 1950s-style Technicolor and hand tinted color, characteristic of Warhol's silkscreen printed design, prevalent in the 1960s. The main themeof the album is Love and Maturity.

According to certified sources TB is Madonnas most successful non-compliation album of all time with around 24,000,000 million copies sold. 7x Platinum in Us and and 7xPlatinum in UK it was a worldwide success. True Blue achieved its biggest commercial reception in European countries, where it topped the European Top 100 Albums chart for 34 consecutive weeks—a record that has yet to be broken—from issue dated July 19, 1986 to March 7, 1987.

The lead single(it was not intended to be) topped US Billboard chart and was a landmark point for Madge 's career. It is still considered one of Madonna 's best ballads.

The second single topped both US and UK charts. Madonna won MTV Best Female Video Award for the music video.

The third single True Blue reached #3 in US and #1 in UK. It was perfomed recently on Rebel Heart Tour.

The fourth single topped US Billboard chart. It is considered one of Madonna 's singature videos. Madonna 's sexual look at the time and moves still remain iconic.

The fifth and final single reached #4 in US and #1 in UK,, although it is still today the most memorable of all True Blue songs worldwide still being played  on radio during summer.

An unofficial account uploaded the video 3 years ago and reached almost 52,000,000 views. The introduction of religious imaginery into Madonna 's artistic world started with this one.

That's what you call a MASTERPIECE, a warm joyful album with amazing melodies and beautiful lyrics, and also a risky considering Madonna went from high voice, stylish catchy sound to a more mature voice, more classical instruments, and new physical appearance...

Live To Tell, Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach and La Isla Bonita are some of Madonna's best songs and some of the best songs ever released... Where's The Party & White Heat are very good aswell

All are in my top 10...
