No way, are you real? People actually talk about Kanye West. Like on the streets, and he dodges that mainstream thing. He's like a super popular indie act. And he represents hip hop, when you belong to pop, it's harder, you represent nothing.

Yeah he is famous but every household knows the name Lady Gaga, can easily identify Poker Face and Bad Romance, Judas as her songs, 

no one will see Lady Gaga on stage and think she is unworthy of that award or question the panel's choice to confer that to her.

Rihanna should get it before Gaga. She has had more time in the industry and has sustained a good level of popularity through out it. Her music videos may not be as ambitious as Beyoncé or Gaga, but they have been consistently decent. After Rihanna than Gaga and Katy in that order.

She's not popular anymore but she's far from being forgotten.

Her impact on pop culture is just too big for that to happen.

Sure hope so, but i just don't see her being nominated for something right now, with no album.

She is still relatively a "new" artist. She's not that new but she's not exactly a veteran neither. She needs to release more music videos. She definitely deserves the award though but she's still in her early in her career. Her career isn't even 10 years old. I think after the next era she has a possibility on receiving the award. She only has 14 music videos which is not a lot at all.
