Rihanna has this thick tone, so it’s very hard to annoy anybody. It’s like a beautifully squeezed tube of toothpaste.

this simile created a visual image in my mind of which i'll never be able to get rid. :wtf:

I agree that she's the Sinatra of this generation in the sense that she only writes songs written FOR her...

But otherwise I think Gag deserves that title and something tells me Frank would feel the same. Nancy Sinatra has said so herself.

Frank Sinatra Jr. Also praised Gaga ❤️

I am actually dumbfounded. Seriously, I don't know who he's talking about but it isn't Rihanna. Her voice is not as unique as you'd believe it might. I have heard all manner of songs recently that I thought was her and it wasn't. Seriously, I've been hearing that Lush Life song by Zara Larsson all the time this summer, and initially I thought it was a song from Rihanna's early days. I've also heard other songs from Caribbean girls that sound just like her. It's just a standard Caribbean singing voice, nothing special about it. And he is so off when he says that her voice is attuned in such a way that it couldn't annoy anybody. You only need to ask how many people hate Work due to her diction to prove that statement wrong. Her voice has been described as whiney by many.

She's like Frank in the sense that she gets her songs written for her. The voice? Don't even go there. He is seriously the first singer who I've heard praise her vocals. Considering Rihanna's been around a decade now and only one singer has felt the need to compliment her voice...that is not a good thing.

I mean she can sing, I agree, but I would disagree about everyone loving her voice- I've definitely heard plenty of people disliking it.

Where is she on this list though? :interestinga:

Ariana Grande, Liam Payne, Jessie J and Demi Lovato are A-list stars?

I like them and they are good singers but no.

I love Rihanna but no, not everyone likes her voice. I for one find her voice very sexy and I think she has really strong studio vocals, but not everyone loves her voice for sure.

But yeah her voice sounds good in a wide range of songs.

Actually, I think they are great singers. Especially Ari. But these are critic's opinions I think.
