Would the old Gaga ever come back?

I have just been recently getting into the world of drag queens, and I find them very interesting surprisingly. Then I realise something: that's the reason I liked Gaga too!  She's literally a drag queen, but is female (aka faux queen), and is a superstar. I find this especially true with her earlier work, whether or not she was just inspired by drag queens or that SHE inspired the modern drag queen style.  I felt like Gaga, the stage presence (not a character :grr:), is basically Stefani being possessed by the spirit of a drag queen.

However, I do fear that she might have actually lost touch with what she used to be as Gaga, based on what she had been saying and doing recently. Regardless of what musical direction she's taking for her next album, do you think Gaga would ever come back, visually? The crazy outfits, the visuals, the choreo, the attitude... I really do miss it all...

Or is Gaga truly dead?

What I'm trying to ask, to put it more bluntly...is she still a faux queen?

I think her style has evolved and changed. I'm sure she'll have a chance to wear costumes and do heavy makeup in her next era but it probably won't be as outrageous as Rupal's drag race.:laughga:

I felt she tried to recreate her peak Gaga looks with Brandon during the ARTPOP Era but it was a complete disaster. There were SOME noteworthy choices but more often than not there were misses. He understands Lady but not Gaga. This is why I miss Nicolai. lol. I actually think Tara also understand Gaga's look as a whole better than Sarah. It is what it is.

I realised the same thing a while ago! I loved her because she embodied everything a drag queen is, and more! And every day!

I don't know if we'll ever get her back. I've realised that it's just an adjustment that I have to make. Getting to know and love the version of Stefani that Gaga has grown in to. If there's no going back, all I can do is try to move forward alongside her.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

That's really sad. It's equivalent to killing off RuPaul and being left with a gay bald man forever.

Gaga is still the same. She just matured.

As far as I know, she used to perform at night clubs where there were a lot of drag queens/drag shows. It's only natural that they would inspire each other. :)

However, I don't think she is ever going to go back to the way she was. She's grown a lot. I don't mind, though. While the whole performance art aspect of her artistry was what I originally fell in love with, I can understand that she wasn't exactly happy doing all of that. She's repeatedly said that doing C2C and everything after that was when she truly found happiness in show biz, so I'll take a mature Gaga over an unhappy one.

I don't think she will ever completely tone down, but I'd say don't expect any meat dresses or blood all over her bikini anytime soon. :laughga:

You can't have the same concept twice for two different albums, I think ARTPOP was crazy, had amazing visuals and choreography. The attitude she held was different, however. She was more like an alien in The Fame Monster but more human in ARTPOP, nevertheless I enjoyed the era. I think you are still going to get crazy things at some point, but don't expect them to replicate exactly what was shown to you in The Fame Monster.

I hope she brings back crazyga but a much more muture version of it.. I do hope there's an era where she is much more natural, little to no mackup, no choreo, just her and her piano.
