I don't really give a **** if she lives in Hollywood, is friends with 10 thousand celebrities and is dressing like a boring person but it hurts me that she is becoming just another female popstar that uses the LGBT community.

It is just that she is the only singer that I felt truly represented by as a gay person and now I lost even that.

But why do you feel that way? Because she isn't dressing eccentrically on stage and flying her freak flag high anymore? Does this woman have to log a certain number of LGBT hours every week to still be considered representative of the community?

She has supported LGBT organizations, supported political candidates based on their pro-LGBT ideals, given speeches supporting the LGBT community, wrote and performed songs promoting gay acceptance and rights, performed at Pride rallies, has been so kind to her LGBT fans, makes tweets in support of them, etc. etc.

It bothers me so much that because Gaga isn't ON TOP of things that you all seem to think she's thrown it away.

God, if people judged me the way they do Gaga they'd be like "You don't volunteer in a homeless shelter anymore? Wow, you must not support the homeless now. I'm so sad you've changed." or "It's been years since you've worked with the elderly in those nursing homes- clearly you only care about your birds now...it's a shame."

Let her be more than your ****ing spokesperson. It's seriously so frustrating that Gaga can do SO much for SO many years and y'all sit around acting ungrateful because she isn't exhausting herself to please you like she used to.

This is not the same girl who we all used to stan back in 2009/2013, and don't even try to @ at me ..

Reason/s. - Remember the women who opened social media, to stay in touch with her fans, the women who dedicated an album to the LGBT community, the women who used to actually interact with her fans everyday, who involved them in everything she did, for ex : She always involved them in the creative process of her albums! Where is she now?

Today happend one of the worst attacks to America ever, not only to America but to the whole world and to the LGBTQ community, what did she do? She used that for political propaganda? She didn't even dedicate a single tweet to the people who basically get her now where she is. Can you imagine yourself being last night in that club? I'm sure that half of those people who died were her fans. What did she do? She is hungry for money, she has no emotions anymore. She says that fame its isolating. Really? But she named her first album ' THE FAME' where she basically says that she is hungry for FAME, she wrote a song about Paparazzi. She keeps contradicting herself.

EDIT - Before you all came here, and post the tweet that she just posted, that won't change my opinion. The first thing that she did was using this atack for political propaganda, so she could get her coins.

Actually "The Fame" she referred to in that album was an internalized sense of fame that can be attained no matter your social level or popularity in the media.

Gaga herself said:
""I think there's different kinds of fame," she says. "I think there's 'fame', which is plastic and you can buy it on the street, and paparazzi and money and being rich, and then there's 'the fame', which is when no one knows who you are but everybody wants to know who you are. That's what this whole record's about, this record beckons for everybody on the planet to stop being either jealous or obsessive about what they don't have and start acting like they do.""

It was inspired by the people living in the Lower East Side who, to the general public were nobodies, but in their social circles seemed like celebrities because they had "The Fame," which is different from "Fame."

So no- Gaga didn't mean she was hungry for Fame in the way you're describing it. The album is also a very satirical and tongue-in-cheek look at fame and celebrity culture, made when Gaga was using her knowledge of such things to manipulate it the way she wanted.

This post was made before she completely ignored the LGBT community in her Orlando comment but then she tweeted again...

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I don't have a problem with her living the Hollywood life, obviously she was just lying to herself in the past and now she finally let go of those ideas. Nothing wrong with that though, we all change our minds over time. That being said, I don't think her core values have changed. Maybe she is trying to distance herself but that's probably because she saw the truth and how fake/shallow some fans can be and reevaluated her views on her connection to them. She did bring the backlash upon herself though, she is the one who created that strong connection. However, saying that she doesn't care about LGBT anymore is going too far. She doesn't have to remind us every second. We can't let go of everything she's done. I'm sure many people were once tired of her preaching every second about it.

PREACH IT. :applause: I like how this is critical of Gaga but not bashing her- it's the most realistic post in this mess.

Your "hit thread" on a Gaga fansite is one where you're basically dissing Gaga so don't get too proud of yourself now. :smh:

I don't think Gaga changed... I think she's always been this way. It's just that the FANS made her look like she was some amazing goddess that can't make mistakes or that is always right, always on top etc...

In that last interview, she said it very nicely, Gaga is a part of her BUT not the Gaga that the public made her be, that's a different story. You have to understand that she is a person too, just like us. It doesn't mean if she buys a house for 15M $ in LA that she only cares for money.. It doesn't mean that she is a bad person if she tweets her support to Hillary and thinks she'd be a good president.

So just ask yourself has Gaga changed, or maybe have you changed, and your expectations on Gaga?

Good point. People need to realize that in her interview with Jamie Lee Curtis she said she does not see herself as some "Goddess" or deity like her fans perceive her. Maybe she's backed off from us because she knows we need to let go a little and she doesn't want to reinforce our dependent behaviors.

Didn't Jesus do that to Mary Magdalene? He refused to hug her or some **** because he knew she needed to let go from him and wanted to help her move on to do what she needed in her life? Gaga is Jesus and we're all her little Bloody Mary's. :hor:

(Yeah, here's info about the Jesus/Mary thing: http://www.gotquestions.org/touch-Mary-Thomas.html)

TL;DR - People are too clingy and Gaga is literally Jesus.

She mentioned Hillary when tweeting about the Orlando attack. People are overreacting here, nothing unusual for GGD.. You didn't really miss anything other than a couple of meltdown pages..

Guys.... :toofunny:

I feel like this happens to some extent in every pre-album era, interaction with Gaga dips a little and we aren't privy to where she is mentally so whenever she starts expressing those changes outwardly we all start freaking out. Just wait till promo for the LG5 lead starts and you all will be signing the praises of this woman once again and you'll realize she's still the same person.

oh God I can't at people like you. I'm a compassionate and loving person, just like many of us, "whiners" I believe, but that doesn't change the fact that gaga honestly doesn't seem to care about her fans any more, while this relationship was the solid basement of her career. After such worship towards monsters, of course, a lot of her fans feel betrayed with this awful silence for years (!) now. She just doesn't have any credit for me any more.

don't be Mother Theresa pls and don't judge us for having a rightful opinion

Well you know where the door is.
