Bizarre Tragedies evoke a lot of emotion in people, and seeing someone you idolise feeling and vocalising the same can feel validating and comforting even. in the case of this particularly LGBT focused hate crime, seeing what words are used and how aware a celebrity is of something and how they use their platform to communicate certain ideas speaks to their character in addition to what I said above.
