It is the biggest mass shooting in this country's history yet there's far less outcry than usual because the community was a target. But, ya know, what's the excuse of LGBT+ friendly folk in Hollywood? Disappointing. If you can tweet about urging people to vote the other day or posting selfies on Instagram (especially today) then you can show your support on social media too. What a disconnect. If this is just a hate crime, where did the hate come from? Could it be insipired by the guy being closeted? Perhaps religions plagued by rhetoric from their followers against the LGBT community? Maybe not the same amount but it's still motivating violence. What motivated this crime was his hate towards gay people which is common amongst all religious people not only Muslims. This is not the first or the last hate crime towards the LGBT caused by religion. As long as a religion condemns different groups of people there is going to be a problem with religion. Yes, there's a problem amongst Islam but blaming the whole Islam for these hate crimes is irresponsible and ignorant just like blaming the whole Republican Party for racism in the US or blaming Christianism for sexism in America.
