Because the FBI is saying he had ties to Isalmic groups. It's not ridiculous to say this was an act of religious terror and hate.

I agree extremist Muslims are involved in these tragedies way more often than other religious extremists but there have been other crimes motivated by other religions.

And it's not the face of Islam just like bigoted rednecks aren't the face of Christianism in America or idiotic racist aren't the face of all Republicans. It's ok to accept there's a big problem within Islam fanatics but it's not ok to blame the Islam  because their real leaders aren't telling them to kill these people.

The worst part of this is that America will react in the same way: celebs will tweet their condolences, a couple of politicians will give half-assed speeches, Trump will say "this wouldn't have happened if the people inside the club had guns", his poll numbers go up, we slowly forget about this incident until it happens again somewhere else, rinse and repeat. Hopefully I'm wrong and something is actually done in the way of gun control this time.

I'm so done with pretending that Islam doesn't make people violent. Why is Islam the only religion that inspirers hate and terrorism in this way? I'm so angry, I'm so upset, and I'm so done with pretending Islam doesn't have a problem, and I'm so done with people like @himeros26 saying I'm a ****ing for pointing out the OBVIOUS. If you want to be willfully ignorant and pretend like you don't already know what motivated this crime, be my guest. But do not try to tell me I'm a racist for seeing the obvious. PC culture is the reason why we can't address the problem in the Muslim community.
