, did you not read my post? default_eve1.gif

cheek 2 cheek worked because she had nothing else happening in music at that point in time and thus, she was able to devote so much time to the promotion of the album. Gaga promoted c2c for MONTHS - up until the Grammys. That's 5 months of PROMO. The same thing won't happen with c3c BECAUSE she will be releasing a pop album in the same time frame.

I read ofc but you're the one who's not getting my point.

"cheek 2 cheek worked because..."

Of course you would say that now that the album was a success, but most of fans deemed it as a failure before the era even started.  My point is there's no way to tell rn how will it perform, everything is unpredictable. Let's just wait and see what will happen.

Whether or not she has time to promote, no journalist is going to call C3C a "flop" lmao she's singing with Tony Bennett and showcasing her talent

Good reviews are welcome, but wouldn't it be better if C3C is commercially successful too? I think every piece of music created by Gaga deserves months of life span and some longevity.

I love Rihanna but one thing I disapprove of her is how she doesn't promote her second and third singles at all. You da One, Kiss it Better, Talk That Talk are all official singles but werely barely promoted. Gaga on the other hand gives us the best for each and every song. C3C deserves its time and performances too.

Anyway i learned that Gagz does whatever she wants, us Little Managers don't have any power.

Remember when we were supposed to choose 2nd single between SD-MANiCURE and Aura-Swine :toofunny:

To you maybe, but you seem like someone who's gonna cry themselves to sleep if LG5 isn't #1 on the charts when it's released. It'll still be more successful than most Jazz albums released in the last 10 years if it only sells 100k.

Now, with all of that said, stop caring if an albums flops or succeeds. Care if she's ****ing happy doing what she's doing, my god. Stop letting your selfish need for new music you enjoy cloud the idea of her being happy...because it's becoming very apparent you don't care about her.

stfu omg you people are so invested

truth of the matter is that GAGA CARES ABOUT BEING SUCCESSFUL. We've WITNESSED before how she loses her **** once she flops. If she didn't care about success, then she wouldn't have spent the last 2 years trying to rebuild her image. You think c2c era and everything else she did was just for HER ENJOYMENT? lmfao bew, look up DAMAGE CONTROL. Sure, I'm not denying that she enjoyed those projects, but the main reason she did them was to do some damage control on her flop pop career. All of those projects that "make her happy" was just the BUILD UP for her to be successful again in pop.

Stay delusional tho.

She's not looking for success and sales with C3C, it's just an album to celebrate Tony's birthday, so I don't think she's worried about that.

And we don't even know if it's going to be a full album with Gaga or just a duets album.

Seriously? :smh: if you can't share your opinion in a mature and non-condescending/toxic way then just keep it to yourself.

OT: I really don't think C3C will get the level of promotion C2C got. It probably won't get a tour (Tony doesn't like to tour like her anyway), it probably won't have single after single being released and promoted, it'll just be there to remind the critics that she's got the stuff before dropping LG5. Her possible "return" to pop (probably a different genre based on the producers' comments).

Besides, she's doing it around Tony's birthday. It's obviously for the two of them and I'm proud that she's not just ditching him after getting critical and commercial success with C2C. It shows how genuine of a person she is

"stfu"? lmao, don't post stupid threads and not expect people to give you a rebuttal.

She enjoys the success, but she's not seeking it out. I'd love for you to point out where she's lost her **** once she flopped? I have no recollection of it.

I somehow don't think that her doing things she's really passionate about are her specifically doing them to rebuild her image. What could she possibly need damage control for? She had an album that didn't sell as well as anticipated. OH NO WE NEED TO FIX HER CAREER QUICK SHE'S A FLOP. Puh-lease. You're grasping at straws. These things boosted her image naturally, because they were ****ing amazing things, nothing more; not because she set out to make it so.

So because she* posted something clearly formulated by Interscope's marketing team you think she was 'losing her ****' because she 'flopped'? Okay.

So because she was being harrassed by Perez and spoke about in a public forum you think she was 'losing her ****' because she 'flopped'? Okay.

*she: because unfortunately we have no idea who posted it.

Also if you're going to post stupid, negative comments to people who are rebutting you then give up now. You're acting like freaking child. If you're going to argue, argue like an adult.

I think the jazz album is just a bit of fun for her tbh. And the tour will probably be a way for her to unwind between LG5 ball shows without actually taking time off. Does it really matter if C3C doesn't do well? There's a chance if the rumours are true that she could be doing it/part of it as a Vegas residency. Last time Tony struggled to tour too much because he's so old, and only getting older, so maybe they won't even tour much from it. It's not like either of them need the money or notoriety from it.

Also C2C came out of nowhere, and still sold amazingly. Now that they're open to that audience and have established some ground in the jazz field together, the next album should do well regardless of promo.

Not to mention that AHS and LG5 and C3C will all cross-promo and help one another out.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I honestly don't think her dropping a jazz album right before LG5 is good idea. With Gaga doing AHS and releasing LG5 later this year, she wont have time to promote C3C and thus, it will FLOP. The reson c2c did well was because it benefited from promo + holiday sales, but if she's dropping LG5 in Q4, the album promotion for both albums will interfere. I doubt Gaga wants another fail stain attached to her name, ESPECIALLY right before the launch of her pop comeback and because of all the work she's put in to rebuild her image these past 2 years. The anticipation for her pop album would die down considerably if she releases that jazz **** a couple of months before LG5.

She should lay low and not do anything musically UNTIL she's ready to drop the first single off LG5 (hopefully around aug-oct). I don't understand where this jazz album dropping in August came from. default_eve1.gif like literally delete it fat. default_eve1.gif Cheek 2 Cheek worked because she had no other commitments other than the ArtRave (which was already about to end anyway) and all her attention was focused on it.

C2C was a success. It would be stupid for her to follow it up with a flop sequel. Just ****ing wait till 2017 or something. If she really wants to drop it asap, she can do it while she tours for LG5, I guess  default_eve1.gif

Thank God someone said it, I've been thinking the same thing, a jazz release in August then the new album following would just be bad. The other album should have been released by now, followed by the jazz album.
