Nono 3,576
I don't know why is she even thinking this is possible? Even Jamie Lee Curtis told her it is not possible but Gaga is stubborn as always.. Fame culture will always exist like the skinny models will always be on the main fashion runways and no one can change it, not even Gaga, Beyonce, Justin or someone else. It's easier to play by the rules of the fame culture like she did in early stages of her career. She completely understood and learned fame and was playing by the rules and what she got? She got everything the praise, the money, awards everything.. And what are you getting when you are not playing by the rules? Nothing. Im sick of hearing fame makes you unhappy blabla.. what about people that are living normal life with 9-5 job and going to college, what about them? Why are some of them depressed? They dont have fame, so why are they unhappy? Its because you make yourself unhappy and depressed, whether you are famous or not, they are always gonna be problems in your life. The Surrealist 27,470
I don't think she can change it, but maybe have an impact or draw attention to it. I trust in her. She changed music culture, so maybe she can change fame culture, too.

But the thing is she only changed music because labels found out they could make more money doing things the way gaga did, labels wont make more money by exploiting people less

eifulien 2,954
Sorry, but what matters is actually staying true to yourself. She was miserable exactly because she was playing by the rules. She was smart enough to exploit them and really embody the perfection everyone falls in love with, but ultimately she wasn't just that image, that costume. She was just well aware of the process, but it didn't prevent her from falling prey to it. I believe it's her faith to be that polarising girl/woman/artist/figure always trying to do more. That's what makes her passionate. Following her intuition and inner desires. Sometimes she may try to reinvent the wheel and succeed or fail, sometimes she may follow the status-quo. But it's all about her principles, not what society/the industry/whoever wants from her. And it's the same with the 9 to 5 people. Do you think all these people, and we are also part of this population, want to work and live like that? Many just don't have a choice. Others don't have the guts to follow their heart and passion. Let me ask you, if it wasn't for the money, if you didn't need money to live, would you ever work on a 9 to 5 job for your whole life? Cause just the thought of it gets me depressed. And unfortunately, many people never get the chance to look up in the sky and feel free. (from this perspective Gaga really seems like a lucky person, she is tbh, but there is also another truth in life - the higher in the hierarchy you are, the stronger the storm. I.e. she faces other challenges in life and it ain't easier. Hardship is for everyone )

I would respect it if she did one honest interview, or an album where she can say what is she really feeling, instead she is blaming fame, and talking things that are confusing and contradicting. Magneto 13,428
Since ARTPOP I began to see FameGa as a persona and her biggest performance artpiece to date. She studied fame and used it as a vehicle() to gain popularity. I don't mean this as selling out or seeking fame for the sake of fame, but just as a performance artpiece. Later she was able to shed that skin and make new artpieces Free my mind

hELXIG 42,954
Because what is the point of even being alive if you are just going to play by the rules and do what has always been done? Why not try to make a change in your lifetime? Why not challenge people to be better? Why not use the fame and influence you have over thousands of people to try and make the world kinder? Why not TRY? I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

This The problem is that people think that with these grand concepts you failed if you don't succeed to change everyone's mind, but in reality it's already a triumph if you make one single person question their beliefs.
