Well it is only the beginning, with temprature rising, the acidty of water will too, when that happen drinking water will be scarce and all kinds of animals, and vast of people will slowly dying in the end.

It's so sad. The government blocked the UNESCO report bc they thought it'd be "bad for tourism" - as if acknowledging it is worse than a couple of years time where there'll be no great barrier reef!! 

Sir Richard Branson has gotten on board with saving the reef by creating a Reef campaign, I hope people around the world learn about this and pressure our government to do something. I've visited there before and it's beautiful.

This is so sad. I hope something is done about it.

Honestly, we're all the blame here. While the right wing politicians have some fault here, we let them be voted in and we haven't done much in saving the planet.

While some of the damage is irreversible, we don't have to let it be decimated. I'm sure there are ways to fight global warming until science can make something that can well... do something about greenhouse gases.

However, something needs to be done about the great barrier reef now. Fortunately, as I remember in another GGD report, that El Nino is dissipating so maybe it'll go away before even more damage is done.

There is still that seven percent. That seven percent could maybe grow into a new 100 percent. It may take time, and less screwing with the world, but I believe it can happen. If we can make clones and resurrect long extinct animals, we can do this.
