Now they made up. Stupid feud. Wouldn't have been a big deal if the public wasn't DYING for them to have a feud in the first place.

And I still think there's a possibility it was all set up. As we know they both came up with the SNL segment where they had a bitch fight on their own, and from their comments it's clear that at least until 2011 they had a very warm and respectful relationship. So I dunno.. leaving that door open for sure. The feud benefited both of them.

she was clearly upset and even cried when her integrity was questioned (more on that towards the end of the interview). if you still think it could have been a setup, then i have no words. benefited her in what way exactly? such a ridiculous thing to say. if anything, she was ripped apart because of it. the madonna comment did not help; on the contrary, it made things worse. madonna knew it well, but she decided to take it to the next level: she made fun of her every night on her tour. that's just disgustingly pathetic.

on a semi-serious note, i'm not surprised that you weren't able to look her in the eyes at your artRAVE; i think, consciously or subconsciously, you knew very well that questioning her like this all the time is not a very nice thing to do. it's not what a fan, even an overly critical one, does, is it?

I dislike Katy because she lacks vocal talent, I've been saying this since 2009 after I watched some of her I Kissed A Girl performances. The girl is a good lyricist for teenagers in their emo phase, but I'm yet to see her best.

As for the Roar vs. Applause thing, I never cared about it. I was getting my life from the ARTPOP era (an era that I've waited a lot for) as I was studying Medicine, so I only had time for the talented side of the drama

That interview was literally a full year before Madonna made a comment about it though Madonna reignited the discussion way later. She had nothing to do with people calling Gaga out for copying Express Yourself all through 2011 so bringing up that interview is just pointless. I'm not claiming Gaga copied EY intentionally or whatever (I don't even think she copied it), I'm claiming there's a possibility Gaga and Madonna decided to use the controversy.

Anyway, I clearly presented it as an option, not as the most realistic scenario. I just think it's beyond odd that one stupid song mess ruined their relationship. The comments they made about each other were so supportive, I just think it's weird that all went to hell because of thàt, esp. since Madonna said she didn't feel that Gaga was copying her act.

It got both ladies a huge amount of promo. And we all know Gaga all through 2012 was playing around with the idea of the decayed pop star. She dropped it, possibly because Interscope canned the idea (cue them rejecting the finished ARTPOP album in August 2012). With some imagination, I consider it a possibility (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) that Gaga consciously used a major controversy as a way to construct her next era narrative. She even still used it in a way in the Applause and DWUW promo on Twitter.

it's not pointless: the interview shows how gagz reacts when her integrity is questioned, either by the media or by madonna. that's why it's very unlikely that she had anything to do with it; the whole controversy being a setup, that is. using it to substantiate the rationale behind DWUW is another thing; there is no correlation between the two. yes, it's a possibility, but i think even considering it is insulting to gaga's personality. 

as for the personal thing, i agree. feel free to report me, i didn't mean to attack you. maybe you're right, putting you on my ignore list is what i need to do.
