I think the stage we're at could best be compared to summer 2012. She doesn't have a theme yet, and she's still writing a lot of music. I think she's written about half of the album, and she's far from being done. Doesn't mean it will take another year for the album to be released, but I don't think she's even nearly finished. More like halfway in the process of writing songs. She will write many more songs for the album while she's working on current songs and finalizing those.

She was mixing last week, and the RedOne part of the album is done, LG5 is 50% finished.

It's not that simple, specially with acoustic instruments :saladga:

If that's true, at least we have American Horror Story in October. :madge:

if the album is ready there's a lot work yet to do....like a lot they can't release it now

anyway, I don't think it's ready. The songs with these people? Yes. We know that the RedOne's songs are done and Mark's songs too (in that pic of the mixing you can see a shoulder probably from Mark)

maybe the album is ready so Bobby better put his hands to work

Gaga everywhere is upon us

As long as the album is 80% finished, she can release the lead single already. The rest of the work can be done whilst she promotes her lead and second singles, just like how she did with Born This Way and ARTPOP.

i think over this whole period she has been doing multiple post-production sessions for each track , meaning only like 3/4 of the album might actually be mastered and the rest is still in production

but i definitely think the lead is ready and there are MANY things going on behind the scenes that we don't know about

I think she has the lead ready, but then she's also leaving room for any potential songs to take the throne. Just like how Applause wasn't meant to be the lead single in the first place. :hor:

He collabs with Giorgio Moroder and Gaga. Since April 16th at least.

I loved Born This Way, but I hope he doesn't give us overproduced tracks again. Certain songs were too loud imo. I'm more for simplistic instrumentals this time.

That's literally what DJWS did for every single song on ARTPOP. And many songs on BTW were overproduced by Garibay AND RedOne, so in the end it is actually Gaga's choice for the songs to be overproduced, not the producers themselves. Garibay's stuff outside of Gaga's is pretty simplistic.

Ronson said album is halfway done. I'm guessing about 60%-70% done at best.

Also, just because she worked with some producers a year ago (like Moroder), doesn't mean the songs will make the final cut.

He said in the middle of working on it, which is just an expression.

I think the album is sorta close to being done production wise, but she still has a lot to do such as the photoshoot, Tracklist etc that means it won't be all systems go until later in the year.

Maybe Gaga plays a part too but ARTPOP wasn't overproduced imo. It was more simplistic (though still loud) than Born This Way.
