When I took my nephews to the zoo (I was 18 AND I was pushing a pram with a baby in it) they were 2 and 3 years old - and they both knew damn well not to go anywhere/do anything unless I let them. This child was 4 - old enough to understand simple instructions such as "stay here" or "don't go there" or the most important - "stop". Yeah it was, but despite it being effective in minutes, the tranquiliser might have caused the Gorilla to go bezerk in the process. If you think, only one punch from a Gorilla and that child's life would have ended. OT: The parents should be trialed for child endangerment. I expected them to be like '**** yeah kill that monster' but they actually were on the gorillas side. He didn't do anything wrong, and they could have done many things beside killing him. Luiz 4,253 Posted May 30, 2016 Share Posted May 30, 2016 sad set of circumstances now i guess i could be mad at the parents in an effort to find someone to blame (we always need someone to point the finger at ) but i'm just going to go with it is an unfortunate mishap. you could be the best parent and lose track of your kids of make mistakes it just happens that this lapse in judgement that all parents have happened in the worst possible moment. cant really blame the kid because well, its a kid i've been to Zoos and seen kids running about by themselves and i thought "wow it would be really easy for a kid to just jump in with an animal" everybody seems to carry themselves like their kid wouldnt do that. As if a kid wont get overexcited to see an animal that they accidentally fall into an enclosur. every damn parent at the zoo seems to not have a huge fear of something like this ever happening. accidents like this happen so split second that i doubt the parent even had the time to react and prevent it. maybe we should put kids on leashes at this place then or just accept that **** happens RIP gorilla. sorry someone locked you in a cage for us to stare at ya I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.
