I haven't posted this in the other threads about RedOne, but I really am not freaking out about any of this. I genuinely doubt he is on the album. I mean, only 8 songs? Gaga is known for writing 50+ songs before whittling it down.

It's not uncommon in the industry for people to write and/or produce, a bunch of songs for an artist and have them all rejected. I mean look at this quote from Sia about her work on Beyonce's album (which ended up being Lemonade)

"artists like Beyonce, with whom Sia says collaborating is "like a writing camp" and that "she's very Frankenstein when she comes to the songs," taking bits and pieces from various songwriters and asking to hear them mixed together. "In the end, she had maybe 25 songs of mine on hold, and I was very excited to get a couple of them back. Definitely one is on the album.""

So that's 25 songs on hold and 0 ended up being on the album...

To me it looks like Gaga went to RedOne and tried working on some stuff with him, but that was early and the direction of the record ended up changing during and after AHS.

Come to think of it, Gaga also said that the album would be inspired by the Art of Darkness after AHS, but nowadays it seems that concept was thrown out of the window as well...slay i guess

I don't know if you guys read what's written or not. He clearly says they finished 8 songs. Not just writing unfinished songs, probably 8 fully produced songs. Sia says she wrote songs for beyonce, that's a different story.

There aint no need to be sassy with me.  

8 finished songs means exactly nothing... Finished songs can be cut, and by the looks of things they have been.
8 'finished' songs means nothing.

When is the last time you have seen Gaga and RedOne together? If she was so happy with the 8 'finished' songs that he liked then I would assume she would continue working with him and I assume that he would have a better idea of the direction she is going in musically.


What do you think he even means by 'finished songs'? Does he mean they have been fully mixed and mastered? Or does he just mean they are finished from a writing/production perspective?Because I know that Sia does send 'finished songs' to other artists who generally then reject them. She made an entire album out of these finished songs.

He clearly has no clue if any of these 8 songs will appear on the album....  He admits so himself. 
'We worked together, but do not know where it ends . It depends on the direction , she wants to go". If those finished songs were going on the album he would have a pretty big idea of what direction she is heading.

In the other article I see "
"We’ve done like eight songs but nothing is decided." and in this I see

"But we 've made really good songs . Eight awesome songs that I personally think is awesome,"

This is actually much more comforting than the other one. He basically says he made 8 songs with her but it is her descision if she puts them in her album. It is like she is finished but is thinking about what direction she wants to go. This is very good.

I think no producer has been scrapped, Gaga just has to pick the best songs from all her recording sessions, actually like she always did in the past...

To me most of her songs are done, now it will be more planning and making the final tracklist (and lead single, if she still hasn't picked it).

His new single is beyond terrible, i fear for LG5. Mark Ronson said he is producing Gaga's album tho, so i don't think the album will have much RedOne in it.
