Stefani honey, you’re doing it wrong, just saying

I think you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. She is the artist and chooses what she does in her career, and we are the fans because of the decisions she makes. She's not a puppet who has to offer or serve us in anyway. Of course you are open to reasonably criticize, to not like something or to disagree with anything she does (even if it has been brought up thousands of times already :toofunny:), after all that is part of the point of a discussion forum, but you can't expect her to change because of your opinions.

I get that we are all excited to hear something new. If you can't wait, which is perfectly reasonable, you're entitled to stop being a fan. That's not me being shady or saying 'leave GGD', but if you're not enjoying following her there really isn't any point continuing it.

I will tell you something. Do you know why Gaga is away of her pop career for all this time? Do you remember what happened to her when she kept trying to push the limits with ARTPOP? She was ruined. She was unhappy and she didn't want to make music anymore.

Do you really think she would want to keep being your favorite satanic bitch just so you little managers would've approved her work? Delusional. She's in a good place now. She's happy and she's working in a new pop album with ****ing RedOne. What more do you want??? This is everything she needs. It's her essence! Music. Good people around her. New concepts.

Stop trying to bring attention to yourself just because you can't handle the fact that she's not your Fame hooker anymore.

Sia as the good example? Bye :poot:

Sia as not doing random stuff to get attention, but sticking to her 1000FOF persona and people are obviously still here for her, she said she'll keep doing it until it's not interesting anymore... Then jump to the next idea

Over.

for some of us the fact Gaga is doing it "all wrong" is what makes her so much more interesting than all those following their little formulas and never testing their own boundaries.

There's not even a persona tho :rip: She's literally just acting like any other regular person while hiding half her face. That's it. Doesn't even really qualify as an "idea" to me. It would be different if she didn't do interviews or whatever, but we've all seen her without the damn wig in the past, who cares now. Can't compare at all to what Gaga was doing for example in 2008/09.

Something else I don't appreciate about Sia: she doesn't even like her own music. For 1000FoF she said she just threw some songs together to end her contract, for TIA she said she only liked two or three tracks because she didn't write them for someone else, then dryly commenting that she thinks the stuff she writes for other pop stars is whack. Why anyone would still give her (music) the time of day after that is beyond me.

sia has said that she does like the songs and that she usually gets a lot of writers remorse when she has to give them away. obviously its not her style but she has spoken highly of most songs from TIA

"I'm calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn't go in thinking 'this is something I would say'. It's more like play-acting. It's fun."

"I have a full album ready to go and it's much more pop."

"I think that the stuff I write for pop music is terribly, terribly cheesy."

Connect the dots.

If my memory serves me, she only singled out One Million Bullets as a track she really loved because it wasn't written for someone else.

and if my memory serves me well too, she regretted selling Bird Set Free, she was glad Adele gave her Alive back, she asked Rihanna to give her Space Between back etc... and i dont see anything wrong with the first two quotes tbh, but all to their own

also, you cut this out from the third "cheesy line"

"the success of them helped erode my feelings of insecurity around how cheesy they were."

she did not want to cross over to pop because she felt she was going to loose her credibility and was not sure it would work. thats why she didn´t want to release those songs, but after they became hits she said the latter
