Incidous racism can be can be just as bad as blatant racism, and just because someone doesn't want to throw you back into slavery. Does not mean they will not deny you a job, attempt to pass laws against under the guise of patriotism, stop you, harass you, beat you, kill you, or all of the above if you are a police officer. As we see with current events in the past couple of years now... All of it is relevant, which is why Trump has such massive protests against him almost everywhere he goes... I could also intern play your game, and say Hillary is not a racist in the slightest. She is not a criminal since she hasn't ever been charged with a crime. She is not a sexist, even if she does play the woman card. And of course she is corrupt and a liar, but like you said what politician isn't?! But just because I give you those nuances, doesn't mean that will change the public perception of her. So neither can you try to change the perception all you want of Trump being a bigot, because that's what most people think.
