Raikou 1,169
How the **** can we go from warnings of oil running out for years and years, suddenly have too much oil before being told that we're going to run out again in 2020? Sure Jan, we'll probably find more again.

Poot 719
I doubt companies will let it go that far. Once there is an oil shortage, even for just a few months, people will be looking for an alternative -> electronic cars, etc, ... It would just harm the oil demand because society will try to go oil free. I think (and hope)
Luc 4,776
I don't think you can predict it from so far away. Whatever happens, it will be unexpected. Perhaps a war in Venezuela could lead to oil prices worldwide increasing very quickly. On the other hand Libya and Syria are stabilizing. Another thing is that the Chinese and Indian economy will start rising soon again, or maybe the Chinese economy could actually collapse. I think it really depends on many (unpredictable) factors, like Brexit, sanctions, terrorism, war and instability in oil-producing countries and austerity or investment in the EU.
