Marina has always been very weird about Gaga. She has followed, unfollowed, refollowed, unfollowed her on Twitter/Instagram five-six times in the past year. I don't think they've ever even met? Marina has always looked down on Gaga's music and clearly finds her work of a higher standard. I'm not going to argue who the better artist is but I admit I find it petty (nonetheless hypocritical of Marina's feminist message.) I am sure Gaga knows of her if she is familiar with Brooke Candy (....ugh) but she doesn't follow Marina. Never has. I don't expect them to ever collab. As much as I love Marina it probably won't happen until she takes the stick out of her ass. Gaga is allowed to be pretentious and often is but I've noticed she rarely tolerates other artists being such unless they're older than her (such as Paul McCartney or Elton John).

Well, I didn't like anything other than Oh No!, Primadonna, Power & Control and Radioactive. How disappointing. :emma: i'll get those though, and will give Froot a listen later. :neyde:

don't think they did, unfortunately.

well, a lot happened since then. gagz showed the world that she is a true musician with an enormous talent (C2C, sound of music, til it happens to you, etc). i'm sure all that affected marina's opinion positively.

i don't think she's pretentious. she's just very self-conscious and articulate about her work.

Very interesting interview, indeed.  She seems to be a very creative artist.  Somehow, though, I still don't think their collaboration would work.  I could be wrong, though.  The real question here is if Gaga would be willing to collaborate with someone who isn't as well known as, say, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Cher, Elton John or Tony Bennett.

I love Gaga with all my heart, but sometimes I think she can be a little bit selective when it comes to who she collaborates with musically.  Can't say I blame her, though, because if I were as talented as she is I would be extremely selective, too.

I don't have anything against Marina, but I don't really enjoy her music.  I don't see what the big hype about her is all about because to me her music isn't anything special.  Of course, this is just my opinion and many on this site will disagree with me, and that's fine, but I really don't think their personalities mesh well.  Again, this is just my opinion.

I love Marina, but I respect your opinion. I liked this for being honest:hug: We humans are a wonderfully diverse specie.

OT: I'd love that, but Marina collabs are so rare tbh

Electra Heart is one of the best music eras this generation has witnessed, and no one can convince me otherwise

I would literally die if they ever collaborated together :air:

i'm happy to finally see the well-deserved love and appreciation she's getting. :flutter:

when i first looked at the poll and read the comments, i really did think she was going to get dragged to the pits. :ohno:

Too Short and Twista 'selective'? :emma: I think Marina's more than capable to compete artistically with those people, or anyone else that Gaga's ever worked with.

Whether or not either of them would want that for other reasons though is the question - Marina doesn't seem interested in the fame that a Gaga collaboration would bring, although Clean Bandit have confirmed their collaboration to be coming soon, so that should be good  .

Although in saying that, a duet version of Teen Idle or Savages with Gaga would be amazing

Clearly Gaga wanted to include a track on ARTPOP that was more along the lines of urban/rap.  I just can't see a collaboration happening between them now or in the future.  But again, to all the Marina fans out there, this is just MY opinion.  Doesn't mean it can't or won't happen.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

See the post I made just before this one.  Also, these guys are well known in the rap scene.  Just because you weren't too familiar with their work before ARTPOP doesn't mean they're a bunch of nobody's.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I really started To like Marina even  more after i went to her concert this year, but for today, i wouldnt like a collaboration, because they have so much things in common sometimes that a collaboration would bring nothing new to the table. And if Gaga collaborate with any one from the indie scene, this person needs to be Lana Del Rey!
