Me too, hence I applauded Gaga for saying what she did in that interview She's clearly in a more mature place now. Heck, she was dancing with Katy at the Met and having fun with her and people here still need to throw Katy under the bus every week.

I dont get your point tho. Why try to make a whole thread like this (with those kind of options) in our forum. All negativity here is from you. Maybe you did cuz you were bored or whatever.. But still, i mean ... Why do you always take things so seriouly and use "big" words and act smart (which i dont mind cuz, and u have a point sometimes and i like what u say) but we are in a FAN FORUM. Not in a debatable tv show. We are all here for news , and to "have fun" . Why take things so serious and turn **** into complicated stuff like this and bla bla bla...

And I don't take everything seriously, but when bashing another artist becomes "good fun" I do raise my eyebrows and will try to do something about it, preferrably in a way that makes people realize they're actually being hypocritical instead of just posting "y'all are bitter and jealous 'cuz Katy's outselling ur fav". If you prefer that, fine, but that's not how I roll.

I think, she should make a line between her and her fans sometimes. She obviously appreciate us, but she did too much for us in the past, and now it's paying her off in very negative way. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and I feel sorry for her, cause people expect only more and more from her.

I don't know what she's like, because surprise, I don't know her.

I think she's genuine about wanting to help fans, but I personally don't think her general way of doing that is very admirable (i.e. pushing her fans to buy her products in return for a freed creative expression or whatever, the irony of that alone), and I think she's come to realize that over time, hence her taking a bit more distance and focusing on the BTWF and specific projects that help people directly instead of just posting she loves everyone on social media (a medium she denounced as disingenuine multiple times last year).

It's hardly a secret she didn't mind capitalizing on her fans. Need I remind you that she gave away a meet and greet to the fan who bought Applause the most times? She tried to cover it up with a phony "the artworks that were submitted counted as well" but that didn't fool me. Unforgivable and that's final.

But like I said, I think it comes from a genuine place. I'm just not sure if she's found the right way to help the people she wants to.

The Miley comment is unnecessary here, maybe she meant that people should let Miley do what she wants and stop attacking her even though Gaga herself didn't like twerking.

That tweet about Christina, BITCH WHAT? She did not imply that her previous music sucked, just that she enjoyed her older stuff a lot more and there's nothing wrong with that, just like those fans that would be extremely happy if Gaga released TFM 2.0 but they still love BTW and AP.

Some of the other comments are stupid and unnecessary, she probably thinks that right now that she's matured a lot, but come on, cut her some slack, she was being attacked by some of these people and she just defended herself, I applaud her for that, you can promote online kindness but it does not mean that you have to be a piñata and let everyone beat you.

Well, for one, you didn't even leave open the option that she wasn't being shady or any option that was not a complete insult to her personality.

Which is why I didn't include those here either, to remind everyone that maybe it's exaggerated to make such quick judgments about any person when it's so easy to throw together some "shady" stuff that doesn't reflect who someone is at all (I could've posted Gaga complimenting Katy, Madonna, Miley, etc. too, but I didn't exactly for that reason).

because i was interested in finding out the reason for her shady behavior. i wasn't questioning whether or not she acted shady in those instances; my focus was on the underlying psychological mechanism.

If you wanted to find out that reason then you should first present her behavior correctly and not in the way you did. Everyone agrees instantly here that the examples I chose are not correct reflections of her personality, so why can't they see that in another thread about another person?
