I don't think it's the best song itself, but it has many things that make it the perfect pop song. Perfect doesn't always mean hit, I actually find Dance In The Dark and Edge of Glory better because they have more elaborated lyrics and don't fall under the "using repeated syllables to make it very catchy"...

No. Paparazzi is. It is pure pop, not a mix of euro techno dance pop stuff, it's just a pure pop song that no one is doing these day, everything in pop is a hybrid of dance these days.
