"But Trump is Pro- LGBT!!1! ;( "

Reminder that Trump considers this man for a possible Supreme Court pick:

(William J Pryor):

In a 2003 legal brief arguing to uphold a Texas law criminalizing consensual LGBT sex, Pryor compared it to “polygamy, incest, pedophilia, prostitution, and adultery” and argued that states should be free to prosecute gay people as criminals. He said the rights of LGBT people as a group are not protected by the Constitution.

“This Court [the Supreme Court] has never recognized a fundamental right to engage in sexual activity outside of monogamous heterosexual marriage, let alone to engage in homosexual sodomy,” Pryor wrote. “Such a right would be antithetical to the ‘traditional relation of the family’ that is ‘as old and as fundamental as our entire civilization.”

He also said homosexuality was harmful and that Texans needed protection from it.

Lambda Legal also notes that Pryor cast a deciding vote that blocked Florida LGBT couples from adopting children in need of homes.

“Several judges on the appeals court wanted to hear the case and said the law raised ‘serious and substantial questions,’ but William Pryor kept that from happening,” executive director Kevin Cathcart wrote. “As a result, lesbians and gay men in Florida cannot adopt children who need permanent, loving homes.”

Tbh. Big difference indeed

People can have whatever opinion they want. Wencant force anyone to agree with homosexuality. If we do, are we not being equaly as intolerant mot accepting their views?

My only issue is with people that become disrespectful or try to force their views on others. Thats the problem!

People have a right to believe gays shouldnt marry and people are born with there sex and that cant be changed. Im so tired of people shutting down others for what they believe and automatically labeling people as hate groups and trans phobic, and homophobic. Its horrible. Is some of these people are hate groups then BLM, Planned Parenthood and 60% of kids on college campuses are hate groups. The KKK is a hate group, West burro Baptist Church is a hate group. Not the Family Research Council.   And let me very clear to all of the others here. Im agnostic and I support  Trans rights, gay rights, and all rights. But I also support religious liberties and freedom or speech. As long as someone is respectfull to everyone around them they can belive whatever they want. Idc

They're classified as Hate groups according to Southern Law Poverty, a nonprofit legal advocacy organization specializing in civil rights and public interest litigation. It is noted for its legal victories against white supremacist groups, its legal representation for victims of hate groups, its classification of militia movement and other extremist organizations, and its educational programs that promote tolerance

Here are some nice examples where it's less about disapproval and more about actual hatred.

Family Research Council Anti-Gay Hate Video:

Here's FRC praying against newly appointed out Army Secretary Fanning. Clearly they hate him because he looks good in a suit.

May God raise up a president and Congress who will end the exploitation of our military and the sexual assault epidemic that has exploded in all our services since DADT was overturned. May military readiness replace the LGBT agenda as the chief goal of our DOD and military chiefs. (Ex 18:21; Dt 20:8; Josh 22:20; 1 Kgs 14:24; 15:12;)

Ooh what about the part where he said LGBT rights are preferential treatment

Spoiler

You have to hand it to the Left. They’re a persistent bunch. Even after state leaders repealed Charlotte’s bathroom ordinance, filed two lawsuits against the federal government, and stared down opposition from Big Business, the media, and entertainers, North Carolina Democrats are still trying to move their radical agenda forward. In a head-shaker, the state’s liberals have introduced the very legislation the governor and the rest of the General Assembly rejected. Calling it the “Equality for All Act,” Democrats claim that the “need for nondiscrimination protections for LGBT” is more urgent than ever. “This bill, along with the repeal of H.B. 2, is the important next step that this General Assembly and Governor McCrory must take in order to make North Carolina a true state of equality and help heal our national reputation.”

Unlike H.B. 2, which gave businesses the freedom to set their own policies, this measure would force them to adopt restroom policies as unsafe as Target’s. By adding the terms “gender identity” and “sexual orientation” to the state’s statute, the LGBT community would also enjoy preferential treatment in “real estate transactions, housing practices, employment, places of public accommodation, credit lenders, insurance, and education.” And that’s not all. The Act would also create a “human relations” commission, which is just code for a government board that would crack down on anyone with natural views of marriage and sexuality under the guise of “promoting understanding, respect, and goodwill for all citizens.” Fortunately for everyone, the proposal has almost zero chance of passing through a legislature that, less than six weeks ago, laid everything on the line to protect North Carolina’s freedom and privacy.

Here's another nice example for the American Family Association!

“The Gay Gestapo is on a mission from the Dark Lord to relentlessly harass, intimidate, punish, and silence every advocate of sexual normalcy.

“According to the Creator of every living human being, there are two and only two genders. Not five (as in LGBTQ) or 31, as New York City is now proposing, nor 58 as Facebook famously believes.

“Everything we know about biology and genetics confirms this. Everyone is either a male or a female from the moment he was conceived to the moment he dies. Bruce Jenner is a male, has been for his entirely earthly existence, and will be until the day he dies.

“But soon in Canada, it will be a crime to proclaim what the Bible and science teach about gender.

“And lest you think we are immune from this treacle in the U.S., a security guard at a grocery store in New York City was arrested last week and charged with assault for doing her job of escorting a sexually confused male from the women’s restroom.

“It’s a ‘brave new world’ out there all right, and it will take people of bravery, courage and boldness to survive it and overcome it. May God be with us all.” – Bryan Fischer, writing for the American Family Association.

So I'm ignorant because I assume you're a Trump supporter given your ridiculous statements about Trump being better than Hillary several times over but you aren't ignorant because you're blindly defending these groups without understanding what they stand for?

Nice strawman though :diane:

Wow still venting your frustrations about me and ironically doing the same thing you're attacking me for. Why the change of topic? I thought we're talking about hate groups here. I notice a lot of people here take things way too personally. You're a good example :diane:
