NIETHER DID I BEFORE ARTPOP. Smh. It's like they're saying the would like another world war, except they won be fighting it-just hiding at home, cooking for the kids. Let's see how much they care after round two of the wave of Gaga media hate. Let's see. Okay that kind of comment must come from a kid! If you are older than 16yo humanity is in danger, #sorrynotsorry Get yo sh*t together, please. And be realistic. Gaga is SO much on top of her game right now. She is not even willing to make sacrifices for the LMs and share info beforehand. She has given us few hints, but it's enough to know that she is aiming high, she is inspired and happy, and there is no reason to worry about the album's quality. And when the music is good, sales will come along. No, it won't be TFM/BTW kind of cultural event but it will be good enough. As for Perry, she is in her own lane, with her own pace and abilities. She is yet to prove herself as an artist, cause so far she has been a pop girl/hit making machine. No disrespect at all to her, but how she performs is completely irrelevant to Gaga's career path. And so is Gaga's performance to Katy's. Just let the music speak for itself TO YOU. That's what matters, and such silly stan "wars" are hilariously dumb. Can't you just ignore and not participate? Mikey Monster 1,561
I'm not scared. I like Katy perry but I love Gaga. Plus like people said on this thread in 2013 she was in a toxic place with her management and ARTPOP wasn't planned properly and she was still recovering from a broken hip. Now Gaga is in a great happy healthy place, she's had time to properly work and plan on LG5 and she has AMAZING producers collaborating with her so I'm not flinching lol ❤️❤️❤️ Mikey McCampbell

StrawberryBlond 14,819
Honestly, no. Katy is not a threat this time, trust me. I actually think it's impossible for her to win against Gaga three times in a row. By pop standards and general music standards, it's not happening. I don't know why anyone seriously considers she'll smash again. The odds are against her. Her age is a massive factor - female popstars in their 30's struggle enough, but ones who don't provide substance don't go down well (and Katy's songs with substance generally don't go down well). Considering how her last era panned out (extremely similar to the BTW era), she's really going to struggle to get hits now. I think Roar and DH were the last dregs of massive public support for her singles. Despite Birthday and TIHWD being in the mould of previous hits, they didn't take off this time and her obligatory ballad couldn't smash as it wasn't delivered at the end of a hit era like TOTGA and WA were. As I understand it, Legendary Lovers was cancelled as a single, even a re-release was cancelled (all rumour, can't say for sure). She's just reached the peak of her success in lots of ways now and is ready for a come-down. We've seen it happen to many popstars over the years and she'll be no different. She's in a catch-22 situation right now - the public have got bored for her frivolous pop songs but aren't interested in her vulnerable ballads. So, she's going to struggle to get overall support next time. I know for a fact that Prism resulted in a lot of regretted purchases. Gaga, on the other hand, is under better management now, has an impressive list of producers and is getting some hype around her now, putting her in the prime slot for a comeback, which the pop world loves. Katy can't come back because there isn't much to come back from. Provided Gaga releases her lead single nowhere near Katy's, the attention will keep on her. Her team will ensure the lead releases don't clash and the albums aren't released so close together this time, I can happily assure that. Plus, Katy nipping in front of Gaga last time will serve her a big dose of karma. It already has been for a while anyway.
Whispering 18,865
I just don't care when KP4 comes out and its release has nothing to do with my enjoyment of Gaga's music or other artists that release around the same time. I buy what I like and leave the rest. What's to be concerned about?
