Trump's whole claim was centered around the fact that he would "answer to no one" if he was President...because he would self fund. He stated that when a lobbyist called him, offering $5 million to support his candidacy, he claimed to have responded: “I don’t want it. Because when you come back to me in two years and you want help for a company that you’re representing, or a country that you’re representing, I’m going to do the right thing for the people of the United States.” If he took the money, he said “I’d feel obligated, because I’m a loyal person.” IN TWO YEARS....meaning when he was President. So now he will take that money from that person, and as he said, he will be "loyal" and help that person's company. Trump will now feel “obligated” to those who give and that he too will be a “puppet,” loyal to his donors and their needs. He flip-flopped and now will do what he claims all the rest of the candidates do and have done for as long as there have been elections at every level in the US. In the primary season only. Primaries are where special interests get candidates to say things they can't back out of. General elections see far less panders to PACs and more panders to votes, actual people. You'd know this all if you took an beginning level course on American elections.

I can bring more quotes over, but you will ignore those too. Lol, that's straight up BS. This has absolutely nothing to do with a history course and if it did, you woukd fail. Spin all you want, but the truth is that Trump flip-flopped here and went back on one of the cornerstones of his election promises.
