I would if I felt there'd be any point. I have made comments of substance, so have plenty of other people, but then you ignore, twist, misinterpret, and reject any ounce of conversation that isn't a post shoved firmly up Hillary Clinton's ass. So there's really no point. If substance will just be met with a brick wall, why put in the effort?

What a disgusting post. Do you ever say anything of substance? Even your criticisms have no correlating arguments based on fact.

After Sanders’ endorsement of her opponent, Wasserman Schultz said in a statement that she would remain neutral in the Democratic presidential race. (Giiirl lol  :toofunny: )

I'm sure she'll remain as neutral as she has been up until now (i.e. not at all).

I think this is totally ruining his chances of being Hillary's VP.

That was never a possibility IMHO.

BTW, it's the "Democratic Party". If you say "Democrat Party", you're either a Republican, or ignorant. But I repeat myself.

I'll say it again, bipartisan thinking will be the death of this country.

I'm a bit with Bernie on this one :emma: not sure why he and other Democrats (or non-Trump supporters) are just expected to fall in line or get with the program. You want their votes? Win them. He's well within his right to stay in the race until the very last second regardless of how bleak his chance looks (which is virtually nonexistant at this point...but I still like the idea that some of him will rub off on Hillary). Besides, come November people will make the "right" choice. There's nothing to worry about.

"Right" as in left.

He really should've condemned the violence though. I can't at him shrugging it off like it's nothing :ohno:

I so wish he would've ran as an Independent and that people didn't consider Democrats and Republicans to be the only electable people. People take their party labels way too seriously. Your morals, what you stand for, that should define you. Not what color you vote for...*sigh* oh well. That's a fantasy land and the reality is harsh and ridiculous. Still voting blue in November. I'll be damned if I'm going to be part of what helps Trump get into one of the most powerful positions in the world and as it stands, Hillary is our only shot at that.

Could not 1000% DIAGREE with this statement more!!!  :smh:  Without bipartisanship all you will have is what we now have - GRIDLOCK!  Until this country figures out that balance is the key to almost every facet & aspect of life, and that going to the extremes & staying there will achieve absolutely nothing(and possibly court more disaster while at it.)  Then this country will continue on the path it is already on when it comes to continuous gridlock!  Smh

Ok well I didn't mean totally dissolve the parties or something, friend:emma:

I meant people being able to think for themselves. You have Republicans supporting Trump solely because he's a Republican and Democrats and Independents expected to support Hillary solely because she's Democrat. You know? Taking "party loyalty" to the extreme. It's ok to go against the grain and criticize your own party but we've created an environment where that's seen as an attack from a rogue agent or something.

Though even George Washington warned us against political parties.

Spoiler

Washington argued that political parties needed to be restrained in a free country with a government empowered by the consent of the governed and established through popular elections. He warned of the possibility fearing they could distract the government from its required duty to the people and even lead to the eradication of the freedoms established by the founding.

Unfortunately, it is way too late to restrain the hunger for power in today’s political parties; it has been enculturated.

America is at the mercy of two powerful political parties. If a strong candidate wants to get elected to office in this country, one usually needs some affiliation to the major parties.

We see from history that third party forays are limited in strength and often serve only to undermine one or another of the major parties in the capacity of a “spoiler.”

If Washington could see America now, probably the only thing that he could say after getting over the shock, would be: “I told you so!”

X

Exactly what he warned us about has come true. Politics in the U.S. have basically become Democrats and Republicans vying for control and power rather than the people supporting the candidates that stand for what they stand for. They'll lie, cheat, and steal their way into office if they have to. Bernie was the breath of fresh air that some of us needed and even he had to take advantage of the system to be known.

Anyway, most of my political posts here come from an idealistic stance. "A child's heart with an adult's mind" kind of thing. I know it's not realistic to live without the labels or parties now that we've been conditioned to fall into one or the other (or at least side with one or the other more often) but I believe we should be able to. I'm a dreamer :flop:

I use to be this way to once, and then came the BUSH administration!!!  And after that, I vowed(not literally) to not abstain from politics & to always think of the greater picture.  Once that happened, my idealism turned into realism/pragmatism very quickly!  I would give almost anything to make the things Bernie wants to come to fruition, but NOT at the expense of countless more wars, taking my rights away, censorship on tv(due to a conservative republican climate), going full out against climate change, appointing Far Right-Wing Conservative Supreme Court nominees, making sure the rich get richer, slashing social security, medicare, and medicaid, getting rid of the EPA, I mean the list goes on...  So yeah, in short tho - I Grew Up!  :koons:

That's exactly what Hillary will do, her backers are all corporate and Wallstreet elites. Give her the hot seat she wanted so much. First USA female president. President Alma Coin. :poot:

Eh, I refuse to grow up. Blame Michael for that one :emma:

"The magic, the wonder, the mystery and the innocence of a child's heart are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world."

I live by that and will never let some ugly realism or humanity's greedy and violent nature ruin my optimism or vision for a brighter future. Besides, I'm perfectly capable of having a mind in tune with the Utopian world I believe in while still being rooted in reality. That's how I already know I'm voting for Hillary and why I'm voting for Hillary even though I still support Bernie. They both represent things that are important to me, things that "the other side" doesn't stand for so the choice is easy.

I don't even know what to say at this point, I'm just rambling on about the same point :emma: you understand what I'm saying I'm sure.

I'm well aware it's technically called the Democratic party.

I only use Democrat Party because i want to emphasize the Democrat membership when discussing Independents such as Sanders.

In any case, Democrat Party and Democratic Party are still linguistically equivalent.

Democrat Party can be interpreted as Party of Democrats, which is what the members of the Democratic Party call themselves.

If the Republicans use it as an epithet, that's wonderful. I couldn't care less. ;)

Yes I understand, and even tho I still disagree - I can respect your view.  My view comes from some very horrible life experiences, so I guess it just depends on the person & their own personal life experiences...  *shrugs*

at least he's honest

But he's not.

Bernie wants to do away with Superdelegates, but he is wanting the Superdelegates to go against the will of the people and switch to him instead. He complains about money in political races but he has spent more money per every vote he has received than any other candidate. He complaines that Hillary isn't transparent, yet he won't release his tax returns. In fact, he lied about them and placed the blame for not releasing them on his wife. He has more dishonest statements than Hillary does, when you look at the sites that keep up with both their statements.
