What kind of delusional, ignorant, privileged point of view You're misunderstanding what I said. I meant there is a simple solution to it all. I didn't say it was a realistic solution, just the most obvious one. Clearly, we can't get all 7 billion+ of us to think the same way. I'm just saying, hypothetically, the solution is simple. As someone who respects everyone as equal and is a good person, I can't fathom how there are some people out there who don't believe in this motto. That's all I'm saying. There could be a simple solution to oppression, it's just not going to happen, however. It's nothing to do with being delusional, ignorant or privileged. A bit "joss sticks and Birkenstocks," but with the best of intentions. 15 minutes ago, Whispering said: If everyone would just join hands and sing kumbaya, all the oppression in the world would magically disappear! There's no need to be sarcastic who like statements against me. I never said it was realistic. It's sad how a genuine post about wanting peace and harmony amongst all is laughed at. jojuun 4,159
Y'all are fools. Spoiler She also posed provocatively with a dog in that book (see spoiler). Do you think Madonna also has sex with dogs? Don't you think we would know if one of the most famous people on earth was ACTUALLY into having sex with dogs? Or is she just alluding to the "doggy style" position and having fun with that theme? The INTRO to the book says it's all a fantasy and nothing in it is true, so why would you get upset? The entire "older woman - young boy" fantasy is super old and produced the classic Academy award winning The Graduate (google it). Also, look at J Lo's last movie where she seduces the teenage boy next door... Everyone is of the age of consent but it's still taboo because of the age gap. The entire SEX book is about taboos. She's also pictured getting her boob licked by an 80 year old man (and we all know now Madonna wouldn't even let a 50 year old man near her titty, she likes them in their twenties). She's also pictured peeing, getting shaved by a house maid, rimming, going out naked in the street... It's all about sexual fantasies. And the younger - older fantasy with her as the older character is in there as well as the fantasy with her as the younger character. Y'all worried about this 25 year old book full of taboos that actually impacted the world in a positive manner, all when that Camilla girl from Fifth Harmony was screaming she "likes it a little rough" when she was 17 years old. And she's actually a tween-artist with a teenage fanbase, Madonna was a 30+ year old woman with a mature fanbase in 1992. But okay... Let's have this discussion And I can't at @StrawberryBlond... Who always feels the need to type TELEPHONE BOOKS on stuff she "doesn't agree with" when we all know she just can't stand Madonna. In every single negative Madonna thread... there she is. I hope you've read what I just posted 6 minutes later. Understand that I always pay attention to world events and local events. I just said this phrase casually and hypothetically. There's no need to take it so seriously. 9 minutes ago, Whispering said: I think they live in a naive little bubble and haven't seen the ingrained issues of centuries long discrimination and prejudices. Witness it happening? Get a notification on your inbox since I quoted you? Or did you just conveniently ignore all that to put me down? I am very offended that you consider me to live in a naive little bubble. I can assure you that my 1.5 year battle with anxiety, paranoia and mild depression has removed any naivety that may still be lingering in my system that wasn't already dispersed years ago. I am 100% understanding of discrimination and prejudices and I would never dismiss them. I just think there's better ways of dealing with it than there currently is and in this case in particular, I was just offering up a casual, widespread, hypothetical solution, that was essentially unrealistic and admittedly, like you say, child-like. But that's because I view differences between us through the eyes of a child - I don't see them or think they're important, I think everyone deserves to respected. This is how I thought as a child, I still think it now. Maybe some find it cheesy or unrealistic. I think it's endearing and well-meaning. So sorry you don't see it this way. 3 minutes ago, jojuun said: And I can't at @StrawberryBlond... When I keep it short and sweet, I'm told to write more. I can't win. Yes, I have a strained relationship with Madonna, although more her personality than her music. But I'm always fair to her, praising her when she does something good. Just yesterday, I was one of the few who didn't bash her Prince tribute and said it was fine to me and people are just on a mission to be mean to her right now. You can look up the thread right now if you don't believe me. I'm always fair to all artists, even the ones I dislike. I even once made a thread about listing the good points about your most disliked artists. I don't know why people say I'm biased when I do things like that.
