NEW YORK, N.Y. - Lady Gaga's childhood piano, which she used to write her first song at age 5, didn't hit a note at an auction in New York.

The upright piano failed to meet its reserve price Saturday when Los Angeles-based Julien's Auctions offered it as part of the "Music Icons" memorabilia sale at the Hard Rock Cafe New York.

The piano had a pre-sale estimate of $100,000 to $200,000.

A spokeswoman for the auction house wouldn't disclose the reserve, the lowest price a seller will accept for an item. It wasn't immediately clear if the piano would be offered for sale again.

This was a desperate money grab by whoever owned it, I doubt there was any legitimacy to the claim it was her first piano.

News? Hardly. Gaga News? Not at all.

It was her first piano. The money gained from it was supposed to go to the BTW Foundation

Source? And even if so, a donated item failed to sell at auction... how tragic?

No, she would just make a satanic ritual to make her have another successful (or flop if you want it) album :usrs:

i'm glad! i feel like when she gets Madonna-deep into her career, she'll return to it and be re-inspired and create the world's best selling album of the millennia

This proves absolutely nothing....maybe the piano was in no good condition..or the people at auction were on a tight budget...it happens. :wtf:

I dont know I think gaga shouldn't sell her piano right now... I mean she is only 30 and she is not really a "legend" maybe in 15-20 years
