Via The Hill:

The Bernie Sanders campaign is pushing Hillary Clinton to debate in delegate-rich California before the state’s June 7 Democratic presidential primary.

In a Wednesday afternoon statement, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said the Vermont senator has accepted an invitation from Fox News to debate “with the understanding that we can reach mutual agreement on the debate moderators, the format and other details.”

Weaver said both campaigns in January agreed to hold a debate in May in California, adding that the Clinton campaign has “balked at keeping that pledge.”

“More than half way through the month of May, we hope Secretary Clinton will soon make good on her campaign’s commitment and agree to a time and pace for a debate,” Weaver said in the statement.

Guess he's out of money after his 700 page violation citation if he can't afford ads and wants a debate for air time. :green:

Fox News out of all places  How sketchy.

I love bernie, but he just needs to know it's done.. this would just make her poll numbers go down against Trump at worst.

Also, there's no way in hell Hillary would accept a debate from Fox this late in the primary.. she has the nomination in the bag. :laughga:

This official press release says that Bernie accepted an invitation to debate from fox news. Bernie did not call for this debate. Fox news invited both Bernie and Hillary.

Yes he accepted and now he's pushing Hillary to accept cuz he knows Fox News biased against her. Not mentiom the free publicity, potential "got-cha" moment, maybe land a couple of punches. She should say no. As much as he should say yes.

Whatever Hillary or Bernie should do is irrelevant, i'm just trying to correct the deceitful title and article.

In the bag? Here are some headlines:

"Polling Expert: Independents in Primaries Would Make Sanders The Next President"

"Oregon Goes for Sanders: "If It's So Over, Why Does Bernie Keep Winning?": 'Let the people in!' declares Sanders at rally in California"

"In shock poll Sanders leads Trump in Georgia"

"Breaking New Poll: Trump Defeats Clinton, Clinton Seriously Underwater."

"Make No Mistake, Sandersism Has Defeated Clintonism"

"I am the world's greatest person that does not want to let people into the country."—US President Donald J. Trump

I said she has the NOMINATION in the bag, not the General.

Also, he needs 68% of the remaining delegates to get the nomination... good luck with that.

While this is true, if the polling of Trump vs Clinton in the General Election continue to show Hillary doing worse, I'd expect a large shift of superdelegates to Sanders (who continues to poll stronger against Trump) when the fate of the democratic party hangs in the balance.

I highly doubt the superdelegates would go against the vote of the people (at least this election season).  But, honestly, if that's all y'all are hoping for to make him win, then there's a great chance many of y'all will be disappointed.

Right... but 525 superdelegates are behind Hillary, and only 29 behind Bernie. Elites who can vote for whoever they want. Let's say those 525 superdelegates swap to Bernie. Now it reads like this:

Hillary = 1768
Bernie = 2019

And the only likely way that will happen if he leads in pledge delegates.  Which, again, he needs about 68% of, which the chances of that happening is nill.  Also, even with all the superdelegates, he still wouldn't have enough to get the nomination (2,383). :rip:

The reason superdelegates exist to conform to an overwhelming majority you are correct, however Clinton's pledged delegate lead is not overwhelming and may be extremely close after California. If the pledged delegate numbers are close, the superdelegates then become the determining force of the nomination, and they will have to decide between a guaranteed Sanders presidency or a statistical coin toss that could lead to a Trump presidency.
