I agree with you. There's a distinct difference between "wah wah I hate waiting" and saying you legitimately are feeling disconnected from Gaga and I totally relate to what you're saying!! Even her biggest stans are having doubts and feeling discouraged about the ridiculous wait for LG5, so it's a very legitimate discussion to have. Some people on ggd say it's "immature", but they're wrong. It's just reality

People love to throw the word "immature" around when people are doing and saying things they don't like as a way to invalidate other's feelings or actions.

Guys just relax and find new motivations. I mean I agree with all of you and I personally feel sad when I rewatch an old Gaga interview since I sometimes feel that rebellious and unique girl has somehow died. And rn this forum is more like a news portal rather than Gaga's official fanforum to me... But at the same time I've had so much time to listen to new music, discover new artists and focus on other things. I might have 0 interest in Gaga rn and I feel like LG5 is probably never coming, but I know that when I hear news from the new album all the hype, all the emotions and all the memories will eventually come back. Gaga's music has never disappointed me and I know it will be more than enough to make it up to her fans for all we've been through.

I'm gonna be real and admit that I'm not as big of a fan as I was in 2013. Hell, I'm not even as big of a fan as I was in 2015. I guess the out of sight out of mind saying is true. I'm sure when LG5 drops, I'll gain interest again, but I don't think she has a hold on this fan base anymore. Compare a 2016 little monster to a 2011 little monster. There was a lot more passion back then. We'll never regain that passion again. We're older. Some of us don't even listen to pop anymore. The more time that passes by, the more I realize that her discography isn't that great.  

Gaga's gotta come with either some next level **** or very thought/emotion-provoking music if she wants to remain in my top favorite artists.

I can honestly (and sadly) say that Im just not excited. 

I think it's cause I (and many other fans) just feel a little left in the dark. Like she use to be so hands on and really into giving fans little teases and info that didn't over hype us but kept us interested.... We haven't gotten any of that... as all. And I don't want people attacking me saying we shouldn't have this feeling of entitlement and thats not what its about. Like I stated she was ALWAYS so into sharing everything with us. And then she's just stopped. And the music hasn't really been there... As much as I love TF, TFM, and ARTPOP it's REALLY hard to relate to any of the songs on there. BTW was different, lots of anthems and the writing and the words you can feel.

this is selfishness. my gosh! as it turns out to be. y'all care about that f*cking album more than Gaga herself. like does anyone of you ask Gaga how is she? hows her day? Not lg5 related? no! i dont care how long youve been waiting. the album will come out when its finished. Gaga is only human. she cannot like give you lg5 at the snap of her finger. shes working hard and y'all cant appreciate all her hard work. Gaga doesnt even bother if she loses some fans cause I know she cares more than those that understands her.

I can't believe so many of you take this stuff so seriously like this. She does what she wants when she wants, we either accept that or move on. She's not entitled to give us music every year. We need to stop acting we know everything, stop assuming things too. She doesn't owe us anything. We just need to appreciate her music while we can. Go with the flow. Stop visiting forums if it's absolutely driving you nuts checking for news every few hours. It'll come when it comes and there's not one thing you can do. You can sat you'll stop being a fan but don't act like you won't come back or check out her new albums. New albums/music from any artist is always a waiting game.

We made her a mega popstar. So she kinda does. Without fans nobody would know her.

Then that kinda says something about how much of a true "stan" they were, the majority of what ARTPOP went through was not her fault, there was so much going on with her management team, being used, and for some people to down right lash out at her because there was too much of a large gap, not enough hits, etc... w/e, then that's pretty sad. It's funny how Bey can literally not engage with fans/keep extremely lowkey when prepping for her album and fans are literally A-Okay with it, but when Gaga takes time and wants to just be one with her art and work on it in silence she gets blasted by some not-so-pleasing fans... Odd.

 

Bet you when LG5 drops, they'll come running.

This, she's created albums in short periods of time. 

But I think with LG5, Gaga's taking time to discover herself again after years of traveling, promoting and advertising. I think that after LG5 Gaga will go back to quick releases.

Tbh, I'm over LG5 now. It doesn't exist. There's no proof of it even being a real thing  

Im upset that the woman I admired for adoring and communicating with her fans, seems to of disappeared. 

She's so "Hollywood" now, that she is almost unrecognisable in comparison. Where are you Gaga?

You are not alone. I have been getting more excited. Fans of Tool had to wait, like, 10 years for new music!

And the argument that, without huge sales, her label will drop her and she won't be able to make music. Hog wash!

Look at the career of Tori Amos. Her debut, Little Earthquakes, in 1991, was quite popular/multi platinum, etc. Her next album in 1994, then '96, '98, and many more after, were not huge commercial successes. They would peak in the 30s to 40s on average on the billboard album charts. She has a relatively small group of hardcore fans that have stayed with her for decades. She still is making albums, still tours worldwide, and has complete artistic freedom making the music SHE wants.

There is really nothing to fear, unless you want success for Stan war ammo, or identify so strongly as "the #1 pop it-girl" stan, that you cannot feel comfortable idolizing someone that no longer fills that role.

I believe LG5 will be worth the wait. Just because she wrote TFM in a couple months and the quality was so high, doesn't mean that more time taken = less quality. That time period encompassed a perfect storm. She had a meteoric rise to fame, had SO MUCH TO SAY, and had waited so long, no wonder it came so fast and hard. She has evolved. There is so much untapped potential in that woman. Please, don't be discouraged.

Once we get that album title, some lyrics, a release date.... the whirlwind will start again. Expect good music, but don't expect #1's. Just be thrilled and grateful if and when it happens. 

Either way, Gaga is not going anywhere. She will make music, she will make videos (even Tori Amos still makes videos... they just aren't mainstream enough to be known. But the quality is there.), and she will tour. In the end, the budget, the promo, is not what matters. The passion, the creativity, the vision, the talent... those are what will bring us great songs, videos, tours, and acclaim, whether it comes immediately, or is not recognized fully until later on.

Be grateful that you get to be part of it, that you see the talent, that you get to enjoy the anticipation of something great, because let's face it, even that makes our lives just a little bit richer. She shares her soul with us. She loves her fans, and you are part of it. There is not a more beautiful person in the world who I would rather wait on, than Lady Gaga.
