TFM is the only example of that in her career.

it's not a good one bc that was literally an EP, repackaged with The Fame, and Paparazzi was just getting relevant at the time BR was released.

it didnt work last time because the album was TRASH. Q4 is the perfect time to release an album

The album wasn't 'TRASH.' It didn't 'work' what ever the **** that means, last time because it wasn't commercial. Commercial doesn't = gold and non-commercial certainly doesn't = trash. Don't be ridiculous.

If it's coming at the end of the year, then that means October/November, right? Same as ARTPOP. So that would imply the single is coming late August just intime for the VMAs. I could easily see her taking that route but.... that didn't work last time :(

Applause didn't reach #1, because the 3 songs of the summer were blocking it, so that's not gonna happen now 😭. Also the competition is also tight at the end of the year, so I really do not like this at all. all we can do is hope right?

This might mean we're getting the announcement in July, right? 2 months away!

Why do you care? Why do you care if it reaches #1 or not? I'm seeing more threads about it's commercial value than it's musical/artistic value and it's laughable. All you think and care about is how OTHER people, the majority lacking genuine taste, care about her music. Could you bear to imagine sitting in your room alone listening to the album and making up your own mind instead of watching its performance on the charts? In an age where 'Work' is number one for ten weeks and radio stations accept money to play music, I hardly think the charts matter.

If you don't have shadows you're not standing in the light.

Guys have some faith in her.:toofunny:If the music is good and speaks to people it will stand out and it won't really matter when she'll release it. For example tv  shows all debut at the same time some are hits others are misses. Again if people like the album and it has longevity it's not that important if her single is #1 or #2, remember Bad Romance was never on top of the charts but it's still iconic. And for what it's worth the album will surely debut at #1 so chill.

ARTPOP schedule was result of a mess.

LG5 schedule will be the result of planned attack.

This is what I've been saying. This is Gaga we're talking about. She will never let that bumpy promotional regime ever happen again. 99% wasn't even her fault.

I'm here for the October-November thing

I hope no august, bc I don't want the VMAs again.

I hope not either, but it's very likely.

I mean it's the best commercial way to release single 1 month before album, 2 at most. Keeps people hyped and the wait isn't too much.

Yeah, but unfortunately the "best" way isn't always the way when it comes to Gaga and her team. I do hope that is the case though.

Considering that she's all silent, isn't overhyping and stuff I think it's possible.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

lol AP was commerical af no matter how much she tried to make it look like it wasn't. It was her most generic pop album since The Fame. and me thinking it's trash is my opinion.

That's very valid, but she doesn't have any other music that's currently on the rise of being outshined. It would work in this case.

If she doesn't pull a riri/beyonce/adele (no gap or little gap between the lead release and the album release) at this point LG5 will be launched this autumn. It's a good thing: with a single release on late august (not like applause, which was released when the summer smashes were pretty strong) she could get that first winter smash, plus the major pop stars set to release in 2016 have already delivered except gaga, there's not the risk of a ARTPOP- prism part II, I don't see Britney or Xtina as a threat right now

'ARTPOP was commercial'.

Wow.

Compared to what was being released at the time, it was far from commercial. You think they'll play 'Swine' at teenage discos? Oh yes, 'Sexxx Dreams' s is of course a song for twelve year-old Taylor Swift fans. Songs about smoking dope, renting Russian hookers. Especially the sonics and the Infected Mushroom/Zedd vibe. It was her least commercial album, and your opinion isn't much to go by considering the production, lyrics and vocals were stunning.

Trash is Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, bubblegum crap.

Even if I didn't like ARTPOP, if I hated the lyrics and didn't like how it sounded, I would never call something that intelligent and that layered 'TRASH'. I reserve a word as harsh as that for genuine horrid work.
