They cared when the wind started rustling and rumor hit and she had a kid. Then the album happened. And has nearly gone. Literally your biggest acts don't matter until they are presenting or about to be presenting their material It is true. Although adele returned from a huge era. Gaga has already did that twice, and has low interest era by era. The key is great music. But i have a feeling with mark ronson it is not going to deliver. Lucas 27,003
I don't see any people saying everyone is interested by Gaga, we all know barely anyone is interested by her if she's not releasing pop music during an era
River 116,844
The GP doesn't care about anybody Ask them what is the new single of Rihanna and they will say the song with work work work Ask them what is the name of the new album of Adele they will say 20-something.. The GP likes to listen to music on the radio while they are driving just to help them stay awake or while doing sport.. They buy albums for the name and not for the quality.. The GP is laying on legends from the Beatles to Queen, from time to time they remember a nice song from few years ago and feeling nostlagic.. but that's it.. they don't follow the charts or new releases.. they don't care.. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

How do I know that? Because I was the general public in the past. I've always liked Gaga, but before the ARTPOP release (when I became a "real" fan) I would only notice her existence when she posted a new videoclip on YouTube or did a great live performance on television. Stop pretending everyone is interested in what Gaga is planning to do with her next album. Right ****ing now the general public doesn't even remember she exists. There's no Oscars performance that will make people think "Oh my god where is her new album?". Nobody thinks like that. People will only notice her as a popstar again when she announce the ****ing title of the album and some promotional ****. Monsters are the ones who don't care about Gaga unless she's doing those things. Stop acting like the "GP" is any different from Monsters, stop acting like fanbases are any different than the public, we are the public, just because we're fans doesn't make us any different than anyone else. We are the public. We latch onto whatever becomes big, it's typical behavior. Monsters are the ones who are worse than the so called general public. With the expectations for Gaga, demanding albums, demanding music. At least the non fans aren't always up in her face and up on her social media demanding "release new music bitch." Monsters and fans are the ones who expect their fave, in this case Gaga to pander to their every whim and desire, to kowtow to them and do exactly what we expect her to do, release an album, release pop music, etc. All the fans care about is that their fave live up to their expectations and do exactly what they want their fave to do. I think Monsters should take the stick out of their asses and get off their pedestal and stop acting like just because we're fans we're not the public. Sometimes it's better to remove oneself from the fanbase and then actually look at the nonsense spoken by fans about what they expect from their "fave". So you can sit down. And also if people don't care, why are so many in media publishing stories wondering where her new album is, making lists of what she should do musically, etc? Sounds like we care to me. Lord Temptation 11,209
The GP is a fiction. They wait for other people to talk about something before they dare to say anything. They're sheep. So of course they don't care about Gaga or anyone. They have nothing to talk about - except what other people are talking about.
Killa 17,476
We have to stop talking about this GP character that gets more and more annoying, or try to define it/Him/Her/Them if we don't do that, these threads are just spam. GP - Is it my aunt that likes to move her feet with a beat, is it the woman that always plays music while driving to work and has no time to pay attention to which song is playing. Is it the 25 Pull and Bear worker, that while a Gaga song comes and he says, wow haven't heard from that woman in a while. Kinda miss those catchy songs. and so on... Or is it people that go around on youtube, so maybe they might be a bit more interested in music but don't need to be fan musics, much less care about pop artists. Still they have a recommendation for a Gaga video, and they'll comment they miss Gaga. Or say in her tributes and those last performances something "Curious to hear what she's coming next with" Because i've heard casual listeners, people who are not that much intersted in her being lowkey curious, in the moment. That kind of anticipation comes, usually, from people that like music and outside fan bases, happens more about Rock Music.
LebaneseDude 6,146
Yeah people are interested in a musician when they release music. Are people supposed to be interested in their bank tellers' lives when they go to the bank? Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

Not really, there are a number of artists whose appeal and relevancy reach beyond a dedicated sect of die-hards fans to the extent that they're often brought up in everyday discussion, in broader music discussions, they're prominent figures in popular culture, they feature on other relevant albums and singles, etc. Gaga hasn't been one of those artists since 2011. She could potentially get there again with the right album and branding. She can still be successful regardless though.
