'Dangerous Woman': Its Competition

With news that Meghan Trainor is unlikely to grab the 1st or even 2nd spot on the chart this week, what does this mean for Ariana Grande?

Drake and Beyonce continue to have good sales and good streaming. Blake Shelton, an act who's album sold 200K in 2013 in its first week, is also releasing an album. Added media exposure because of Blake's relationship with Gwen could help him out more, just like it did for Gwen's album back in March. 

Can Ariana snatch the #1 album? Or is there too much in her way?

Although Ariana's "Dangerous Woman" has only seen one week inside the top 10, the work Grande has previewed from her album so far has been quite good. And since Grande is known to actually have a good voice, unlike other singers of this time, maybe people will be more likely to buy a full album of her work and she doesn't have to rely on singles to sell albums. 

What is your input on what the outcome of next weeks sales?

OT: i hope so! DW sounds great so far, all of it's tracks sound cohesive between them. DW will be a complete body of work, not just a collection of hits (ME). Another point: ariana's fanbase is much more loyal and bigger than meghan's.

Not to be rude but i've noticed you've asked this many times already. Why do you want Ariana to flop badly? It's like you're insecure if she's going to be number 1 or not.

I'm asking now cuz of Meghan's update and the continued success of Views and Lemonade, neither of that was known when i asked a month ago. I'm just genuinely curious to see what happens, I don't care what happens either way, im neutral on Ariana, i just like the charts and this upcoming week intrigues me because it could be a showdown

Okay, at least now it's clear to me. I'm kinda irrated with your comments on the possibility that she'll get blocked, like I've seen that comment 100x here from you. It made me think you really want her to flop.

#1 or #2 I hope. I think of the new releases Blake is the most likely to beat her... in physical. I think SPS will maybe push her equal or slightly ahead, she had a lot of front loaded pre-orders, even though shes like # 3 or 4 in pre-orders now. I just want like, 150k with SPS but who knows if thats realistic to hope for It'd be nice to have your first 3 albums go #1, but if not so what. Ariana's a huge streaming force, so overtime this will go gold for sure if not platinum. ME still streaming  The lowest is 13 million  I think if she plays the era right with singles and gets radio support (honestly, DW is a good song but its not as mainstream pop as the rest, so I get why it did only decently on radio) she will do fine.
