Serendipity 7,821 Posted May 14, 2016 Share Posted May 14, 2016 A group of Islamic State terrorists armed with AK-47s attacked the headquarters of a Real Madrid supporters club - because 'they don't like football'. Three gunmen opened fire around midnight at the Al Furat cafe in Balad, 50 miles north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. It is believed at least 16 people - mainly Real Madrid fans but also cafe staff and other customers - were killed more than 20 people injured. Islamic State later claimed responsibility, while gruesome pictures and video have emerged illustrating the aftermath of the bloodbath. Bullet holes can be seen littering a room full of armchairs with an upturned chair in the centre - and blood smeared all over the floor with a trail leading out of what appears to be a main meeting room. Real Madrid offered their 'profound condolences' and said their players would wear black armbands tomorrow. A statement posted to their website read: "Real Madrid C. F. deeply regrets the terrible attack in Iraq which today saw 16 members of a Real Madrid supporters club lose their lives and which has also left over 20 injured. "The club expresses its great sadness and offers its regards and condolences to the families and friends of the victims. "Real Madrid extends all of its solidarity to the people of Iraq, who suffer the excessive injustices of extreme violence. The Islamic law, or Sharia, sets several bounds that indirectly impact Muslim athletes. This includes rules regarding the awrah, those parts of the body not to be exposed in public. The hijab or Burqas required by strict divisions of Islam can make it difficult for women to engage in many sports. Also, men are not allowed to have clothing that shows the area between the knees and navel, prohibiting them from engaging in, for example, Sumo wrestling. For some time, Iranian women at the Olympics only competed in shooting because it was the one area unaffected by their dress codes. To solve this, many sports companies have begun creating Muslim-friendly sportswear, particularly for Muslims, especially women, who practice martial arts such as kickboxing and taekwondo and can be worn in conjunction with the traditional keikogi or other associated uniform whilst still maintaining their modesty. Football games that are shown on television include a number of things that are contrary to sharee‘ah: · In most cases -- if not all -- it may come under the category of gambling and betting which are haraam. · They involve uncovering of ‘awrahs, mixing of men and women and listening to musical instruments. In addition to that, they are a waste of time, which is spent on something that is not beneficial and distracts one from that which is more beneficial to him in religious and worldly terms. But for some reason I still haven't shot a dozen people for it. I'm so behind on these trends. Seriously I can't believe this happened for such a reason. There is no punishment for watching or playing sports, so they weren't following sharia if you're implying that. This happened in Baghdad, where they fight with shi'a militias, there was just car bomb attack, they kill each others civilians every day. They can invent after any kind of reason, it doesn't make it less or more horrible. Also can you post news from less sensationalist sources, mirror.co.uk is a tabloid.
