River 127,466
For some strange reason (but obvious) I didn't see any post about this hot and serious topic, since May 3. So remember Muhammad Abu Khedir that has been burnt alive by an Israeli terrorist? There was a little bit of justice and the terrorist got a life sentence + 20 additional years. ---- The ringleader of the 2014 murder of Palestinian teenager Mohammed Abu Khdeir has been sentenced to life in prison, the Jerusalem District Court said Tuesday. Yosef Haim Ben-David was also sentenced to an additional 20 years for other charges, including kidnapping, and was ordered to pay the victim's family 150,000 shekels (approximately $40,000), according to a news release from the court. Ben-David was convicted last month of kidnapping and murdering Abu Khdeir. The 16-year-old Palestinian was kidnapped, beaten and burned in July 2014. His charred body was found in a forest. The judge also sentenced two minors convicted of helping Ben-David to life in prison and to an additional 21 years for other charges. Israeli authorities have not released the names of the convicted Israeli teenagers. Ben-David was ordered to pay 20,000 shekels (approximately $5,000) to the family of another Palestinian child he attempted to kidnap the night before the Abu Khdeir murder, the news release said. The Palestinian teen was murdered after the killing of three Israeli teens in the West Bank. They were abducted on their way home from school and their bodies were found more than two weeks later in a field. Israel blamed the deaths on the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Authorities have said Abu Khdeir was killed in retaliation. Abu Khdeir's death sparked weeks of angry protests by Palestinians. The separate killings contributed to soaring tensions between Israelis and Palestinians before the 2014 Gaza war. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/05/03/middleeast/israeli-sentenced-palestinian-boys-death/ ----- Rest in Peace little kid, send us some peace from whenever you are So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

My complain is that since those news were announced nobody who see himself as a pro-(choose a side) or pro-peace posted those news. suddenly nobody care about the little boy, but is caring only when it was needed to use him to promote a certain agenda or opinion. He deserves better than that, better than to be a card that someone throw just to prove a point. I expected a lot from many users here concerning Abu Khedir and the recent news, but even here he was forgotten. *it's not personal to you, I'm just very emotional when it comes to him, I can't see his smile without crying. TiphEret 1,320
I hope it's a relief for his family and they can find some sort of peace. How horrible it is to loose a child and especially in such hateful crime.
