DiscoHeaven23 35,007
What some may not know, many probably do, is that when The Fame Monster came out the deluxe version ,which includes all of The Fame and The Fame Monster, was counted as The Fame and not The Fame Monster. Therefore, when The Fame Monster debuted it debuted at #5 with 174,000 in sales, while The Fame soared from #34 (about 28,000 in sales) to #6 with 151,000 in sales. That means The Fame Monster really sold about 295,000 copies when it debuted. Now, Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream debuted that week as well and debuted with 701,000 copies sold. So if we combined The Fame Monster's sales it would have debuted at #2 instead of #5 (#5 remains The Fame Monster's peak). Would you have rathered this? Fast forward five weeks and The Fame soared to a new peak of #2. It had previously peaked at #4 in 2009. That week The Fame (which was mostly The Fame Monster) sold 82,000 copies and was second to Susan Boyle's 122,000 copies. Also that week, The Fame Monster moved from #12 to #9 and sold 44,000 copies. If we added the two Fame Monster's together it equals 126,000 copies, a number that beats Susan's 122,000 which would have made The Fame Monster #1 that week, if the regular The Fame's sales were below 4,000 (which is possible). Would you have rathered The Fame Monster going #1 instead of #5 and The Fame peaking at #4 instead of #2? Ray of Light 8,134
She would've had 4 consecutive albums debut at number 1 - bringing her one album shy of Madonna and Janet, and two of the Lemonde lady married to Jay Z
