I've always wondered during the intro of the song, "Government Hooker" what Lady Gaga is repeatedly saying in Italian?

Maybe someone might know.

And if so, in what context is she saying that?

Didymus

Some lyric sites claim it's "Io ritorne". Wouldn't that mean "I return"?

I'm not Italian btw but I'm curious too.

Never noticed, lol rip

But Io ritorne doesn't seem to be correct italian, not the italian i know. Ritorne is indeed  but it should be Io ritornero. I guess she was having fun in Fun this way, with other languages

Thank you.

So "io ritornero" is the actual Italian term for "I will return" ?

Bloody Matt

"Ritorne" doesn't exist in Italian (I'm Italian), but I've never really figured out what she says there...

Maybe "Io ritornerò" (I will return)?

Infinity Wave

I never thought it was Italian lol

well if it's "io ritorne" it could be a wrong spelling of "io ritorno" meaning I'm coming back, I'm returning, or a wrong form of "io ritornerò" meaning I will return.

It makes sense if you think at the meaning of the song... the relationship between jfk and Marylin, she says she will come back or she is actually coming back, maybe trough the song itself  :gaycat:
