A. Banks trashes Beyoncé's Lenonade

Banks took the umbrage with some of the personal content on Lemonade, specifically the songs that reference possible marital woes between Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z. Banks said Beyoncé's numerous songs about Jay Z are the "antithesis of what feminism is" and called devoting so much song time to her husband "stupidity."

When people pushed back against Banks, she said she was not trying to take Beyoncé down, but was calling her out for stealing ideas from other artists. Banks claims that Beyoncé began using African religious iconography in her art after she did.

Honestly I'm a Beyoncé fan and I couldn't spot a lie. I don't think Banks was the first who used African Gods and imagery but I do remember Beyonce singing all about Jesus for a while.

I love both of these women, so I'm not getting involved.

I wonder what side some members will take though? Some hate LEMONADE and hate Azealia so this gon' be interesting. Will they side with pretty AB just because Bey is "overrated?" Who knows with GGD.

Azaelia Banks can watch Beyonce in her worldwide stadium sold out tour starting tomorrow.

Dont Hurt yourself is a feminist song. It is a female empowerment song if you didn t read the lyrics. Only some phrases are about Jay Z in the album.

Bey and Banks are not the second coming of the black community, black women and women in general.

We had a lot of artists who did it before and actually lived in a world with discrimination against black and women and they made the change and the impact.

Bey? well it's easy to sing a Spice Girls "girl power" song in 2016..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Probably because "this unsuccessful flop" is an actual artist and others can only wish to imitate her creative genius?

Nope, Bey is overrated and AB is a hot mess. Not siding with either.

Not to dispute some of her points that are worth discussing, but wasn't she saying on Saturday that she needed to "repent" and that Lemonade was what pop culture needed? What changed in her mind?

I get what she's saying with these points, though. But maybe Beyonce just grew and found her voice as an artist? That's what it sounds like on this album.

Creative genius attacking every single alive artist for copying and trying to make headlines with her hate. :stalkga:No, there are millions rappers in the world more creative than her Goodnight
