NBC Poll: Hillary Leads Trump by 8 Points; Millennials Hate Trump

Trump is surging on the GOP side. Politico reports:

For the first time in the election cycle, Donald Trump has the support of half of Republican and Republican-leaning voters nationwide, according to the results of the latest NBC News/SurveyMonkey online weekly tracking poll released Tuesday. Ted Cruz and John Kasich, meanwhile, are stagnant or losing ground.

Trump earned 50 percent, an increase of four points from the previous week, while Cruz took 26 percent and Kasich grabbed 17 percent, both losing two points over the last seven days. Another 7 percent said they do not know who they would choose.

On the Democratic side of the race, Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders by 10 points — 52 percent to 42 percent, with 6 percent saying they do not know whom they would support. In hypothetical general election contests, Clinton leads Trump by eight points (44 percent to 36 percent) and Cruz by 10 points (43 percent to 33 percent).

Furthermore, from the Electoral Vote

New Harvard Institute of Politics data reveals that millennials really, really dislike Trump. 61% of them would vote for Hillary Clinton, compared to only 25% for Trump. Even young Republicans can't tolerate him: Only 17% have a favorable opinion, compared to 74% unfavorable. That net -57% unfavorable would be far and away the worst for any GOP candidate since such data were first collected in the 1970s. Put another way, Hillary Clinton's "problems" with younger voters disappear the moment Trump is nominated.

It would be close for sure. I think Trump will rise if he becomes the nominee. Hopefully Clinton is indicted or drops out due to health concerns.

All the candidates are oldies, except Cruz. But all the candidates wouldn't be terrible presidents.
