Will there be a gay quota, and a black quota, and a jewish quota, and a muslim quota?

Except for the black population, the other categories are so small. Maybe a Jewish or Muslim gay person? Hmmm.... still wouldn't represent 10 per cent of the population.

Women are fifty per cent of the population in the US.

and having been First Lady

Stopped reading here.

Marrying a president does not make you qualified to be one. Talk about sexism...

And I love how you only use being FLOTUS when it's positive. Whenever it's negative and people criticize First Ladies for the actions of their husbands, you're the first to jump in a thread and call them out.

And they should achieve higher positions by merit, not how they identify their gender. Period.

....I never said it's the sole criterion for wanting her to be president. Why are you implying that?

I said that her being First Lady gives her a direct view of the on-goings of the presidency. She essentially is experienced in the field already via proxy. She's had dealings with international affairs, has interacted with the political network, and has worked in promotion and implementation of policies very much like Michelle is doing right now. It's clear that she has a role. How much we do not know other than what she accomplished.

Also why are you trying to clapback me about something irrelevant. All I've ever said on the matter is that she has no direct say on what her husband does, so you can't pin what her husband does on her by correlation. She's not the vice president. She simply observed and interacted as a First Lady would, while still clearly remaining influential on him as a wife as any other.

That's where the experience comes from. Why are you trying to call me out so randomly. It was only one sub-point of one criterion I mentioned and you just generalized it.

You think they're being given the chance to show their merit to begin with?

Using a couple of examples is pointless. As someone who has worked in conferences promoting women's rights in media and politics across the world, I assure you there are a lot of issues to address.

ALGAYDO

People are seriously getting upset over this? WHAT :air:

It's obvious that she would choose candidates based on merit, then just try to fill in half of the positions with women. It's not that difficult to understand, y'all. :emma:

And as for her using this as a pandering technique, who cares!! Even Bernie panders to some. It's politics. Sh*t gets dirty sometimes. At least this'll have a positive outcome, unlike a lot of Trump and Cruz's pandering.

Hillary has been in the political sphere for decades. I'm certain she knows women who are fully capable of cabinet positions and ones that will be assets to her cabinet.

What a surprise. Another topic where Hillary should have got only praise, but because it is Hillary and not fake Bernie everyone is going after her with stupidities that even they dont believe.

So she's picking half her cabinet based on their sex and not based on who's most qualified for the jobs?

So are you saying that you believe that out of the 320 million people living in the US there are not enough qualified women for these jobs?

She oppressed women everywhere by being the victim of adultery.
