But don't you agree that there must be at least 8 women out there in the US qualified to do these jobs? At that level there are so many qualified people that it can be a choice of gender. This! Our new Prime Minister from the Liberals here in Canada did the same thing and I dont like it Gender, race, sexual orientation etc should be totally irrelevant... If it happens that 50% of the best candidates are women, then great, but since far fewer women choose to go into politics, thats highly unlikely You get whatever number you get. People have to stop taking the whole equality thing to such an extreme that they wanna micro manage things to make sure everything is perfectly divided. Its dumb If no gay or woman is chosen because the best candidates happens to be a heterosexual men is there something wrong with that? No! I do admire striving for diversity and promoting equality. It's not targeting a minority.: It also doesn't imply that it's going to be any women. These women will be qualified, and there are plenty of them that go ignored by virtue of them not being women.
