Beyonce's cultural impact unmatched?

Do you think Beyonce's cultural impact is unmatched among the current generation of popular artists? It's crazy how when she drops an album it's an EVENT. I just saw CNN dedicate 15-20 minutes to people talking about this album and how political and culturally impacting it is. I feel like no other modern artist gets the amount of praise and attention she does. Many say she's overrated because of this but if you look at the big picture Beyonce stands out among the rest. 

What's your take on this?

I'd definitely put her up there with the likes of Michael, Whitney, Madonna, etc. These days, she's the living incarnation of the word "hype"

And I don't even like her music

Because I know Gaga will be brought up in this thread, I want to say that I don't think her impact has been realized yet. That is, I don't think she's had her career defining moment. We all know she's iconic and is a pop culture staple, just like Beyonce, but she hasn't had her true peak yet imo.

I'm really shocked the amount of coverage she's getting. It's even bigger than Adele's 25 just in terms of being reported extensively by reputed media companies. I hope it sells well, the hype is unreal.

I haven't seen any cross over into the general public. I mean when you visit gossip sites etc it's mentioning it but outside of the celebrity circle I haven't heard any of my friends or family even mention it. When 25 came out everyone was like "Adele is back". Also her music is quite inaccessible now. It's political and the imagery is graphic and I feel like she's lost a lot of casual music followers.

I really hate to say this lol but she deserves it. Shes not only incredibly talented but also a samrt buisness woman. However, i do feel like shes at the brink of having her ARTPOP era soon. No one can keep that amount of sucess for so many years in this day in age

So if anyone is being rightfully praised for their work they're overrated? You wished for ARTPOP to flop didn't you? Would you want LG5 to underperform as well so no one can say Gaga is overrated? I don't agree with you. I hope Gaga gets praised to the heavens. I wish the same for all Artists.

Yes, it doesn't matter if you think it's deserved or not, but there is no denying the amount of attention and buzz she creates when she releases. I don't even think Adele matched it when she released.
