They praise her and act like she's some artistic genius when really it's the 50 producers and 40 songwriters work on the albums not just hers. She and her husband and that whole part of the industry are liars and scammers and phonies. And with Sasha Fierce are you trying to claim Beyoncé invented the idea of alter egos in mainstream? If you are, sit down! And it's all so fake. Faker than Beyoncé's first pregnancy. someone its really ****ing pressed can't stop laughing

But she didn't. Your opinion = delusion. Beyonce is killing the game at the moment. You know why? She hasn't hyped herself up; what she promotes, she delivers and she almost always exceeds expectations. Gagas 'promises' have almost always fallen flat. Gaga needs to take notes. In this day and age, 'hype' destroys you. Case in point: the ridiculous hype regarding the Bowie tribute. Was it technically groundbreaking? Sure. Was the 'groundbreaking' aspect observable by the average Grammys viewer? No. Give Beyonce credit where it's due; Gaga was not ahead with her idea because it never flourished. Use her management as an excuse, by all means. It never happened though, and by her having the idea of it does not place her ahead of anyone. It didn't back then, and it does not now. Not saying that Bey or anyone else copied Gaga, but definitely Gaga was the first modern pop singer who explicitly spoke at lengths and in detail about her vision for a visual-based album. Gurl I can't with this.

Lord Temptation 11,209
Beyonce is an industry machine built on hiring hundreds of invisible people from songwriters and producers needed in order to make her look good. That's why people can tell that her work is not her unique vision. There is an entire army of workers needed to make Beyonce who she is. Beyonce is a factory. Beyonce produces. Gaga creates. Psychedelic 1,098
OMG! The OP and somebody else in this thread are deluding way too much. I don't know if I should laugh or cry! And they keep trying? Really??? If you can't beat them, join them.... They say... so... I think Gaga was tracking God's idea of creating the universe long before He did, but Gaga didn't have the budget so it was God who ended up materializing Gaga's concept and keeping all the credits Spoiler

Gaga only truly fell flat during the ARTPOP era and that happened because of personal problems with her management and not because she did not want to deliver. And, sure Gaga did not fully executed her idea, but her forward thinking idea is what counts. Also I am not taking away anything from Beyonce since she was also a forward thinker even though she also wasn't the first with this visual album concept. She also doesn't need overhyping because the media always does it for her.

While mostly, and factually true. I do think Gaga's learned big time that the hype can destroy your money train and can effectively kill an album campaign. I will say though, that I feel like people do a bit too much on the Intel performance. Again, she hasn't really said anything about LG5, musically, visually, conceptually. I think many of us jumped the gun because we were excited to see Gaga perform at the Grammy's and Intel's "groundbreaking performance" hype got us wet in the panties. Other than that though, I really do think she HAS taken notes. And you're right, I'm hoping there's no more empty promises in the future. edit: I actually think Troy and Gaga opened their mouths too soon about the App actually. Troy definitely spoke about it in industry interviews and I'm sure people picked up on that too and did it for themselves. Bjork may have done one herself, but the end of 2013 and beyond had a nice surge of album apps that followed after Gaga and friends talked about it. Gaga's ideas again did not flourish the way they were meant to, and hence we can't be bitter, we just need to move on.

Only a few mainstream artists have thought/done this visual album concept, specially in recent times. Even if those artists you mentioned did it before Gaga, Gaga was still ahead and forward thinking with her concept in the mainstream world. Yeah, I have to give her that. But she should learn that less talky - more doey approach is better.
