At least they let us know, luckily I don't have anything on mega that wouldn't be backed up on my hard drive. But I see the problems it may cause for those that are used to use mega or have large quantities of organized files on there. Before mega I used depositfiles, the files are are being removed individually if no one has downloaded them in 3 months time (if it hasn't changed) I think it would suite fine for sharing videos after they come out. Of course there are bunch of other similar sites, we won't be left without the ability to share files, it just may be less convenient than with mega.

It may seem pricey but you can get some huge external hard drives. It's what I store all my filming and back up my music collection on. Worth the money

I too have many many many hundreds of files on my Mega. Thankfully I know 99 percent of them are on my personal harddrives but I'm still gonna take screenshots of everything I have. 

I would also advise all of you to back up your Master Key and make sure you all have the correct password and login information for your accounts.

 

You might also try screenshotting everything you have, it will make it easier when the time comes to cross-compare and make sure you have all your files safely imported to new locations.
