She definitely brought a really cool flavor and pop culture intensity in her first years, and all the ladies definitely took note! Much has been written and said about it at this point, I feel like she has gotten a LOT of recognition for it. It was still all very referential and derivative but it was done with polish style and attitude all the way, and she always name dropped her inspirations too, which I appreciated. Then of course she started to buy into her own hype, and stopped being "living art and social commentary about fame and celebrity" and here we are. If she figures out who she is and what she wants to say and be, she has the talent and resources to slay the industry again and I hope she does!
