Do you think Katy's next album will flop?

I don't think it will flop, but it might be another decrease in her career. She will have a successful lead single & maybe 2nd single and the others probably will flop. Like PRISM but with less albums sales (Unconditionnally, Birthday & TIHWD failed pretty bad considering the amount of promo during the PRISM era). I don't see any hype for her new music & I don't think people are here for another Teenage Dream version.

Also seing how bad the music sales are lately, it won't be hard for her to get #1s on Billboard

Uncle flopped because Roar was still selling like hotcakes and everyone wants it.

Birthday & TIHWD flopped because once again, it's overshadowed by Dark Horse. And there was little to no promo after Dark Horse. She did a live video thing for BBMA and appear on Jimmy K talking about the video and there was no promo for TIHWD.

Depends. The question is if she'll keep Dr. Luke or not. He is really her secret sauce. All but one of her hits have been produced by him. If she doesn't use him, I don't the public will like it. If she does use him for her safe/generic bops, she'll be fine. It's fine if she wants to go down that road & I guess that is the type of artist she wants to be, but I believe in evolving & progression so if she changes it up for this next album, I'll be happy.

I hope she flops

I mean I actually liked Prism (but I hate Roar with all my heart for what it did to Applause)

but it's overrated

sorry I like you but I want Gaga to win:hor:

Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone

No. She will continue to put out safe pop songs that the GP will love. She really does have a good ear for hits. I honestly hope she takes a risk and tries something different. She's had enough success to try something new now. Plus she has a better chance at a Grammy if she takes a risk and its a success.

Nah, I don't think she will. But I hope that she really does a 'dark' era for KP4, something like Dark Horse but with more lyrical sense :awkney:

If she really goes country, then yes, probably :emma:

If she continues to play safe, I don't think she'll flop :laughga:

but she needs to somehow make something new, otherwise she could flop too :poot:

I don't listen to Katy Perry therefore I didn't even know or care that she had new music coming out. Doesn't make it a flop though. It's kind of sad to compare them against each other tbh. This is everything most artists dislike about how media/ press document their lives. Irrelevant comparisons always focusing on how they 'rank' rather than their personal growth / development as an artist.

Music isn't a sport. It's an art. I've literally spent my whole life wondering why music is ranked like sport.

Sport isn't & shouldn't be a competition though.

I hope so. I don't necessarily want katy's career to end, but she and her fans need some humbling.

I don't really think she'll flop but I don't think she'll be nearly as successful as the teenage dream or prism eras
