I was already a stan back in 2008 when Just Dance dropped (it became popular right away here in Quebec) and I stayed one until the end of the TFM era. Then, I watched a video of Gaga singing You and I before Born This Way (song) was even out and it completely turned me off, I was like "This is not her usual dance songs, this is garbage!" (stupid 13 years old me). Then, I started realizing I might be gay at the beginning of my first year of high school and I subconsciously stopped listening to pop music altogether. It really was subconscious, I didn't stop listening to it because I consciously didn't want people to think I'm gay, I literally did not care about pop music anymore. Then, sometime during May 2015 (I think), I listened to Venus and I was completely blown away, I was like "Did I really miss out on stuff like this?". I listened to ARTPOP (and eventually BTW) and I was also very impressed. Then I watched all of her videos again and again (the old ones brought me so much nostalgia), which I guess prepared me in some way to come out to my parents a few months later. Yo GagaGaga 6,541 Posted April 13, 2016 Share Posted April 13, 2016 I liked her when I heard paparazzi, and I always on her side when everyone was talking about how weird/satanic/a man she was, but I wasn't quite a fan yet. When I heard The Edge of Glory I began getting interested then when Yoü and I was released I was about to start becoming a fan then her spotlight sort of died down and not everyone was talking about her so I forgot about it (same thing happened with applause) then I remembered how much I liked Yoü and I and applause last summer so I began casually listening to those two songs, then I went down a Youtube rabbit hole to watch all of her videos and then I found my way to this cult site.
