boobtank 9,090 Posted April 12, 2016 Share Posted April 12, 2016 CBB star David Gest found dead: Entertainer's lifeless body discovered in five star London hotel The legendary producer and CBB star passed away in a five star Canary Wharf hotel The legendary American producer and TV personality, 62, passed away at the Four Seasons hotel in Canary Wharf today. A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 10:17hrs on Tuesday 12 April to the Four Seasons hotel, in Westferry Circus, E14, to reports of an unexplained death of a man in his 60s. London Ambulance Service were called to the scene. Life was pronounced extinct at the hotel. "A post-mortem will be held in due course. Next of kin are in the process of being informed." The popular entertainer was scheduled to play 24 dates across the UK alongside Dina Carroll, Russell Thompkins, Jr. and Freda Payne. David entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in January this year, but left 13 days later on medical grounds. His death is being treated as unexplained. David was last photographed partying with fellow CBB housemates Kristina Rhianoff and Nancy DellOllio in late February. The 62-year-old also posed for an Instagram snap with on-off housemate couple Jeremy McConnell and Stephanie Davis last week. David, who appeared on the most recent series of Celebrity Big Brother, was set to begin a UK tour 'David Gest Is Not Dead, But Alive With Soul' in July. TV personality David came fourth in the 2006 series of I'm a Celebrity, Get me out of Here, amid claims 35,000 votes for him went uncounted due to a voting glitch - causing him to be booted out The 62-year-old grew up with Michael Jackson and his brothers in Southern California, and counted the family as his childhood best friends. In 2001 his television special on Michael Jackson's 30th anniversary of his solo career was the highest rated in history. It was the last reunion of Michael Jackson and the Jacksons and two of the star's last solo concerts. David was married to American singer Liza Minnelli for five years from 2002, although the couple split after 16 months. Despite a messy divorce battle the popular entertainer insisted he hda no hard feelings against his ex-wife. He once said: "I wish her well and tell people they should see her live in concert. Liza is a great performer - she has been singing the same songs for more than 35 years. She's a true legend."
