Happy bc I wouldn't have attended the 4 Monster Ball shows that I went to. Remains her best tour to date.

Yeah, Kanye is famous. Hardly one of the most famous people in the world. And not nearly as famous as most of the pop girls.

I can't really speak for the rest of the world, but in the US he is more famous than most pop girls and probably just as famous as Gaga.

I'm just happy she cancelled it because TMB is iconic

To be fair, MB2.0 (the one above) would have already started in February, after the Fame Kills tour.

But, same as you, I'm still hella thankful for MB1.0.

i thought she cancelled cos the rampant homophobia in the rap/hiphop community

edit: or was it a combination of homophobia, the taylor incident, and the expensive ticket prices.. i really cant recall where i read that but i read it somewhere soon after Fame Kills was cancelled?

Hmm, I did, too.

People always say the MB wouldn't have happened, but it most likely would've...

Gaga was still supposed to go on her own tour in February after FK wrapped. I wish I had a source for this to hand, but I read it literally the other day after this was brought up before in a different thread.

Maybe the whole MB 2.0 show wasn't planned and maybe in a different timeline things would've turned out differently, who knows. But she still would've had her own big tour. It just would've replaced the theater Monster Ball.

I didn't I only found out who he was a couple of years ago lol. But gaga was inescapable on every part of the globe Kanye needed gaga a hell of a lot more than she needed him he would have held her back

Well, that's your problem. When Fame Kills was about to happen, he was the biggest star. When Gaga blew up a little while later, she was a bigger  global phenomenon, yes. But then that slowly wore off as the final singles of Born This Way and ARTPOP came about. Since he got together with Kim Kardashian, Kanye is undoubtedly the bigger star again in terms of recognition. He's a polarising figure, people either hate him or love him, but he's very, very well known all over the world. Gaga has gone for critical acclaim over the past years and given her major promo efforts this year, we are all certain (or at least hoping) Gaga is gearing up to recreate some of that 2009/10/11 world domination but we're not even certain of that. Kanye's extended family (the Kardashians/Jenners) has the biggest social media following in the world, together they have over 900 million followers if you count their subscribers on social media. With their Snapchat followers and Kanye's Twitter followers added, they have over A BILLION online followers. That's 1/7th of the world population. So those are the people who clicked "like", "follow", or "love" on their accounts. Given they have a lot, a lot, of haters as well, and are often mentioned, even when people don't exactly know what they do, you can very well triple that number in terms of people who know them. That's almost HALF of the world population and given there's many elderly, children and underdeveloped countries, that's huge. Massive, even.

BuzzcutSeason

It's kind of flaky and bad that she cancelled it because of that...but in her defense it's kind of funny if she were to go on tour with someone who, at the time, seemed like someone who tried to tear people down and tell them they didn't belong when Gaga was trying to stand for everyone who was different or told they couldn't be something.

Obviously we all know Kanye didn't stand up there and directly do that but thats the basis of how it was viewed and it's the basic thing behind it.

@Enigma Merged your thread into here :)

@Judas Oyster Added the news source from Enigma's post to your OP and then moved it to Gaga News & Events, you did the right thing by posting it in Entertainment Talk first by the way  But now that there are articles and stuff it's fine in News & Events or Entertainment News :laughga:
