The Rebirth Ball Tour (2016-17)

Prelude

1.         ‘Gypsy’ (Video Prelude)

Showing recap of artRAVE, and Gaga’s speech before “Gypsy” at the Yahoo! Streamed Paris concert.

2.         ‘Gypsy’

Gaga enters the stage in the “wedding dress” outfit from artRAVE, which bursts into flames at the end of the song, transforming into a butterfly dress, before descending under the stage.

 

3.         ‘Rebirth’ (Video Introduction)

Monologue. Describing the meaning of a rebirth. “To be reborn, you must fall to new depths. I certainly did. But first, let me take you right back to the start…”

 

Act I: The Rise to Power

The first act is performed in a ‘The Fame’ era outfit, with lightning bolt, blonde bob etc.

 

4.         ‘Just Dance’

Gaga is trying to impress a music label boss by singing and dancing for him, surrounded by dancers in ridiculous outfits. At the end of the song she is awarded a record deal.

5.         ‘Poker Face’

Gaga is playing poker with some “rich” friends, all of whom are fake or phony in some way or another. By the end of the song, Gaga’s current beau pushes her from a balcony.

6.         ‘Paparazzi’

Complete with Mickey Mouse glasses, Gaga enters the stage in her wheelchair, and by the end of the song is arrested for killing her boyfriend.

 

7.         ‘LoveGame’/‘Monster’ (Video Interlude)

‘But the more famous you become, the darker things become. A fear grew inside of me, a fear of many things: love, commitment, sex, death, alcohol, suffocation, truth, and even fame itself’.

 

Act II: Fame & Fear

Gaga is dropped down onto the stage in a cage, surrounded by the men from the ‘Alejandro’ music video. She is dressed in the red latex nun outfit.

 

8.         ‘Alejandro’

The first verse and chorus are performed. She then breaks free of the cage, kills the men/guards, and takes of the red habit, to reveal the US flag bikini outfit from the ‘Telephone’ video’.

9.         ‘Telephone’

At the end of the song (again, only first verse & chorus performed), Gaga is kidnapped by a man, who ties her to a bed.

10.       ‘Bad Romance’

Gaga and the man/dancer perform a very sensual dance routine on the bed, ending with Gaga killing the man with her sparks bra. She then descends into the stage.

 

11.       ‘Dance In the Dark’/’Born This Way’ (Video Interlude)

‘I escaped my fears, and ran away, far away. Into the universe, where the birth of a new race had begun.’ BTW video speech

 

Act III: Birth Of A New Race

Gaga appears on stage, with the horns on her face, riding a motorcycle. She is followed by two clones of the Gaga race.

 

12.       ‘Born This Way’

The dancers and Gaga dismount their motorbikes, and start performing an intimate dance routine, with more and more clones joining them. Gaga is later lifted above, as their queen.

13.       ‘Judas’

Gaga, now in a leather jacket, meets Judas at an American diner. They talk a little but then Gaga catches him kissing another girl.

14.       ‘The Edge of Glory’

Gaga leaves the diner in tears, and is reunited with a few of the Gaga clones, who have begun to form their own identities. First verse and chorus only, performed

 

15.       ‘Marry the Night’/‘ARTPOP’ (Video Interlude)

‘I was at the top of my game. But every queen must suffer their downfall. Everyone must fall from grace. Everyone makes mistakes. But mine were witnessed by the whole world, my downfall became public property.’

 

Act IV: Fall from grace

Gaga ascends to the stage, dressed like a phoenix. Hurt, injured, she is rescued by two guards, dressed in Greek attire. She is brought to a castle, when she is looked after by a nurse dressed as a Greek goddess.

 

16.       ‘Venus’/‘G.U.Y.’

Starting in her hospital bed, Gaga slowly gains confidence as the medley progresses. By the end of ‘G.U.Y.’, she has shed her phoenix feathers, and is in her mermaid outfit.

17.       ‘Do What U Want’

The screens show newspaper headlines, with derogatory statements about Gaga. She struts across the stage, performing the solo version of the song.

18.       ‘Applause’

Mimicking the VMAs performance, Gaga is booed by the audience. She takes off her wig, to reveal the ‘Applause’ wig cap. She keeps trying wigs on, intertwined with dance routine, settling on a silky blonde wig.

 

19.       ‘Aura’/‘Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)’ (Video Interlude)

‘With my new found confidence, I was ready to face the world again. But first I must accept my past, as a way to improve my future. Everyone has dark days, dark times, and everyone can stand tall again. No-one will understand, until they are standing in your shoes’.

 

Act V: Rebirth

Gaga is sat at her piano, in an elegant dress, with her silky blonde wig.

 

20.       ‘Til It Happens to You’

She sits at the piano the whole song.

21.       ‘Brooklyn Nights’

22.       ‘I Want Your Love’

Encore

‘A true rebirth is more about changing your own perception of yourself, not changing others perception of you. To find inner acceptance and inner peace will is to be reborn into new confidence, better than any drug there is. There will always be critics, and you can’t please everyone, but doing what’s right for you, means you will always find likeminded people. For me, I have my monsters. And thank you for sticking with me, through thick thin. Through the fame, the critics, the good times and the bad, you have always stuck by me. That’s more important all the material stuff’

I just hope she comes to Scotland again. She's performed here three times (I think???) in total. Once in 2008/09 as part of The Fame Ball Tour (but at T in the Park) and then twice for artRAVE in 2014. She missed here for the Monster Ball and BTW Ball

Nooooooo.  LG5 will be the supporting album on the tour so it makes zero sense to put like 4-5 songs in one act during the show. It'll take the majority of the show and dispersed throughout.

I really love the idea but she would never do a tour like this in support for an album. Hopefully one day she does a tour that feature a couple of songs from every album, this would be perfect in that situation.

When the title says LG5 tour but what you're describing is a greatest hit tour.

after they showed her speech about "the clock will start ticking until the next time we meet" or whatever, they should fade to black and play a loud ticking noise of a clock

and then the clock dings like an alarm going off and gaga pops out of nowhere
